IIHS has released its list of Top Safety Picks for 2023, which includes 48 models across both Top Safety Pick and Top Safety Pick+ categories — less than half compared to the 101 models that qualified in 2022.

The recall concerns the safety of the Full Self-Driving feature, a Level 2 semi-autonomous driving-assist system.

The new rules are meant to support the Biden administration’s ambitious goal to increase the number of public chargers across the U.S. from 130,000 to 500,000 and have EVs make up 50% of new-car sales by 2030.
