2016 Volkswagen Beetle

A latecomer to the list of vehicles affected by the expansive Takata airbag inflator crisis is the Volkswagen Beetle.

Approximately 2,400 Volkswagen Jetta and Jetta GLI sedans and Beetle hatchbacks are being recalled for replacement brake master cylinders.

A new batch of Volkswagen airbag inflators is now under recall despite containing a moisture-inhibiting agent thought to make the inflators safer.

Approximately 679,000 model-year 2011-19 Volkswagen hatchbacks, coupes, convertibles, wagons and sedans are being recalled for a transmission issue.
