Good Brand
The dealership and salesperson were great. The vehicle is nice, however, we found it a little small for our family. I like the Brand!

9 speed transmission is amazing!
The new 9 speed transmission that started in 2016 is the best thing that has happened to this already great suv. I read the previous review on here & was amazed on the response & lack of knowledge that they must have received from their salesperson. I drove a 2015 & the difference is night & day. Paddle shifting this suv is an amazing experience & adds to the already sporty feel. Far better than the BMW X5, Lincoln MKX, Audi q5 & q7, etc. Traded my Lexus RX for a 2016 MDX & feel like the quality of my mdx is more comparable to what Lexus used to offer. Great sales experience as well. Overall satisfied!

2012 MDX blows this away
Previously owned a 2012 MDX which was the most amazing vehicle I ever owned. Super comfortable seats, excellent acceleration, sports car handling, not a single complaint about anything Fast forward to trading it in for the 2016 upon lease coming to an end, I do NOT like this vehicle one bit. Doesn't handle anywhere near how the 2012 handled. Tried all 3 suspension settings, and no dice. I'm not confident behind the wheel after 2 months Acceleration seems to have a "turbo lag" effect or the old 4-barrel V8 effect... step on the gas hard and it delays a good second or two until it takes off And many times I was already going 30 - 40mph and stepped on the gas hard, only to find the vehicle winding out in the current gear for a few seconds until it finally shifted into the next gear. I don't see why a vehicle like this has 9 gears Next, the seats. Total downgrade in quality of material from the 2012 MDX. And seats are lower to the ground, not giving an SUV feeling, but more of a regular car feeling. I've tried all kinds of seat adjustments and just can't find that comfort spot Next, the dashboard stuff is ridiculous. Heated seats is now a very distracting multi-step process via touch screen, as opposed to a convenient switch to the right of the seat for Low, Off, High. Ditto for controlling fan speed, A/C and heat, navigation, and so on and so on. In the day and age of distracted drivers, this thing is nothing but a big giant distraction Finally, the safety features are the most frustrating thing I ever experienced. I am CONSTANTLY being hit with distracting and annoying beeps and flashing warnings on the dashboard. When trying to pass someone, when backing out of a parking spot, and so on and so on. Not to mention the so-called blind spot enhancer on the drivers side mirror. It makes me dizzy everytime I look in the mirror and see 2 different views of what's behind me, one normal view and one magnifying glass view Bottom line... I would give ANYTHING to trade this thing in and step back to a 2012 MDX, and would not recommend the 2016 to anyone...
