Great BMW runs like an airplane!

First BMW I own. 2006. clean inside and out. had a mild issue with cables and sensors and electric programing due to neglect from previous owner but after I fixed this car runs like an F1 car! Get "wow" looks everywhere people love to see it drive by. Very economic on highway comfortable, sporty, luxury, original rims, N52 engine, one of the best! This car runs like an airplane and has presence! Love it!

Solid and comfortable AWD driver

This AWD BMW with the legendarily reliable N52 motor got me through winters without issue. I never got stuck with the proper Blizzak winter tires and the awesome AWD system I was able to keep myself moving and steering straight even in the worst of Minnesota winters. It kept up better on the road than my 4WD Yukon XL! It drives so solid, smooth, road noise is quiet, and the bumps in the road are soaked up perfectly with the suspension that it makes you want to go faster than you should be. The iDrive is outdated but for $5000 on the used marker this is a great car!

In 10 years all I fixed was a $600 starter

Very dependable with classic style! It still looks great and it gets looks. It’s not Tooo complicating to learn what it can do! It will age gracefully

Most reliable car I've ever owned

Best overall value. It looks good and drives well. Well worth the money. I have owned a Lexus and an Infiniti and this car is keeping its value ahead of those.

It's a BMW They are programed go over 300,000 mil

The last BMW we had went almost 300,000 miles. Run good. Mechanically sound, kept up with oil and brake and tire changes. Used to drive to work for over 8 years.

Unreliable and underwhelming

Interior and comfort is great overall with the car being very comfortable to drive and operate. Performance is fine but nothing noteworthy (feels sluggish at times but has comfortable suspension and takes corners well). Of course the look of the car is subjective but I personally don’t care for it. I rated the rest of the categories at 2/5 due to the myriad of issues encountered with this car within a few weeks of purchasing. Some things that have failed on my car and are likely to fail in yours are the oil filter housing gasket, tire pressure sensors, passenger air bag/restrain malfunctions, the PCV heater valve, the adaptive headlight, and other small electrical issues. Apart from general maintenance and bmw parts being very pricey there are several aspects of the car that I don’t like. The car has no temperature gauge in the cluster nor a dip stick in the engine bay but has both integrated into their iDrive system which has proven to be unreliable in the past. On that note the iDrive system is also very clunky and confusing and almost more complicated than it has to be. The car also has no aux port but does have Bluetooth which can only used for phone calls. Overall ok car but would not recommend this particular model as there are better options in this price range.
