Problems with instrument panel
Car was fine at first. Within first few months, began having problems. The button area with the defroster and temp controls wasn't backlit one night. On numerous occasions, my display screen goes dark so you can't see what's on the screen. There is no explanation for it. It just happens randomly. Today my screen stayed on the backup mode, even though I was driving down my street (in drive, not reverse). I am starting to wonder if I should have bought this car. I never had a car with this many different issues period, much less the first six months.

Great little SUV
The Buick Encore has been a very good vehicle. My wife is the primary driver and likes it very much. The comfort level is quite good for a vehicle this size. The only complaint would be the anemic engine power otherwise it is a keeper. Thank you GM.

Own a '13 and a '16 Encore
We recently bought our second Encore because my wife liked my '13. Obviously we like the car: mileage, style, handling, size, interior, etc. However, one negative bugs me. On both Encores the screen which displays OnStar, radio, etc will go dim and is hard to read. Buick Service tells me they can do nothing unless it happens when I bring it in for service. So far that hasn't happened. Several calls to Buick Customer Service were not helpful. In one call a technician admitted that they have had other similar complaints. There doesn't seem to be any consistent cause for the screen to go dim. It just happens.

Backseat ventilation and ride is terrible
I had the opportunity to ride as a backseat passenger. There are no vent ports for the AC or heat to get to the back passengers. The ride was terrible, the shock absorbers slammed up to the frame on most potholes and manhole covers. I'll have my dealers shop check for defective shocks, probably nothing can be done about the ventilation problem.

Cute and Classy
Love Buicks! I traded in my Lucerne (which I loved dearly) for an Encore ST because my driving now consists of running errands around town. I rarely do highway driving anymore so the Encore is great for parking and zipping around. It is only 2 months old now but I can say that, based on my experience with other Buicks in my lifetime, it will be just perfect. I like the extra visibility and zippyness (word?) It is a very classy little car and I think it is a head above a lot of others. The rear camera screen when backing up could use some kind of anti-glare as the sun will just block it out. I chose the ST for the extra horsepower.

Encore
Sometimes people have ridiculous expectations. In this price range, it is a great car. Real impressed with quality and finish inside this car. Ride is very comfortable for car this size, and peppy enough. Gas mileage is very good. If you want a $45-50K car, then go buy one. Very nice appearance and fun to drive. Only thing hear a little noise when in passenger seat, maybe turbo noise.

Great car for empty nesters
My wife needed a car with a more comfortable seating position than her old Subaru and the Encore (built in Korea) with it's higher seat position, standard driver seat power lumbar and tilt, is what she loves. The interior design, fit and finish is very good. Love the exterior and interior styling, good fuel mileage, and general ease of driving. For myself the biggest negative is the fold down armrest is useless, it is non adjustable and way to high (I'm 6'1"). You only get driver adjustable seat unless you upgrade to leather interior package. There is also a big blind spot to get used to. Some reviews complain of low power, we have no issue with it, but we don't live in a hilly area. This is a nice small four door, with a bigger quality car feel.

Backup Camera - poor
The image quality of the backup camera is poor. Very cloudy even after cleaning lens. Should have a contrast adjustment.
