Loved my 01 Buick LeSabre

I got a 2001 Buick LeSabre limited in 2009. I had the car until 2019. The car was actually donated to the " wheels for work program" in Wi I signed up for the program and was very fortunate & extremely grateful for this opportunity! I was a single parent of a young boy at the time . The wheels for work program gave me the opportunity to be approved for a loan & the payments were $50 a month for the car . This car was very reliable, although the window regulators that were made for this car were made out of plastic causing the windows , both drivers n passenger side ,come off track and had to be replaced. This can be costly if done professionally, I had some one fix n them as a side job & only cost me $60. A Buick flaw! I put this car through a LOT and the body wasn't looking too good when I finally put her to rest, but the motor was still running!

283,000 miles

2001 Buick Le sabre Custom. It got to 283,000 miles and needs transmission, engine etc. Now sadly heading to the scrap yard. Drove it almost until the wheels fell off. Bought a duplicate car with 108,000 original miles!

A few things here and there. But good car.

Head liner is falling off all windows needed new actuators due to clip on cable for window motor came out making the cable bind up. Trunk needed new relay. Arm rest broke easily. While changing brakes bolts for the shoe snapped off so bolt got stuck making the shoe needing replaced both rear sides

My Lesabre

I absolutely love this car! The ride is exceptional cant feel any bumps at all it's like floating. The heated leather seats , the spg ( smiles per gallon ) is exceptional averages 28 MPG best part is mine only has 27,750 miles on it. Yeah this IS the car that was owned by a lil ole lady that drove it to church /grocery. The best $2700 I ever spent!

Best car to drive

I drove my friend Chris Nannenga's 2002 Buick Lesabre Custom 4-door Sedan and it so drove and rode like a grandma car but it is the best car to own and I would so just recommend it to just anyone looking for a 2000-2005 Buick lesabre Limited or Custom 4-door Sedan asap.

Love my Buick, overall.

Purchased my "02 in 2005. Had 65,000 miles on it. Cash deal of $7575.00. Great deal I'd say! Has now about 113,000 miles. Had the engine intake gaskets replaced (seems to be a typical issue with the 3800 V-6), all new brakes and rotors. Disappointed in that 3 out of four electric window regulators now need replacement and apparently is an issue with Buick for years and not improved/solved by GM engineers. Also need alignment bushings replaced.

Best car I ever owned up until my much newer Lexus

We were struggling financially and bought this LeSabre for $6,000 with about 40,000 miles from a family who had inherited it recently. Drove it forever until crashed in a sudden ice storm (Major crash, and while the car was totaled, all 3 of us walked away unscathed. Bought 3 more as time went by, and none EVER BROKE DOWN! I did do regular maintenance, used clear coat spray paint can, and matching car paint on any developing rust spots, and washed and waxed it every 2-4 weeks in the winter especially. These 3.4 L engines were the most famous GM ever made as far as being "Bullet Proof." I would buy another one but they are getting really really hard to find with lower mileage.

rides like a dream.

Bought this car as a first for my son because he is very tall and this is one of the safest cars to be in if you're involved in an accident. My older son had a Park Ave, was hit really hard, spun around, fender torn, frame bent and he and the passenger in the car walked away without a scratch. This vehicle is beautiful and a pleasure to drive. My son just needs something with AWD and better gas mileage. He will miss this car!
