  • Great Truck

If you're looking for a PU truck w/a good-sized bed that also acts as a passenger-vehicle then this truck is a great choice. Having the removable bed panels protects the bed from weather.

  • Most reliable vehicle I have ever owned!!!

I love this truck!!! I have owned her for the las 13 years and have taken great care of her! She has never been in an accident. The mileage is almost all highway miles as I used to commute between Florida and Washington DC at least 6 times a year for Military and traveled all around the state of Florida for work. I put a new stero system and speakers in 2011. Installed new Goodyear Wranglers last month. She does burn a lttle oil, but no leaks, and she has a few cosmetic flaws. She runs great and has cold A/C.

  • Owned since new.

The best american made car I've owned, I'm 67, no comparison. I've got 113,000 mi on it and have taken it in the mountains and the hwy. The tano cover has been super. It kept my son and I dry in a torrential down pour in the mountains in the NW while sleeping in the bed of the truck. The compartments open up for hauling 2"X4" 14 feet long.

  • Good truck

My Avalanche has been reliable, comfortable and capable. Fuel economy has been ok for what it is, but like any full size 4x4 truck, it's a bit thirsty. I've taken it off-roading a few times and it handles great. Seats 6 people comfortably with plenty of room for camping gear, ice chests and bbq grilles. The mid-gate and folding rear seats make it very versatile. Leave the bed cover sections in place, open mid-gate and still have all your stuff secured. 4x8 sheets of plywood fit right in without any problem. Good compromise between truck utility and SUV ride, not as jarring a ride as a typical pickup.

  • My Avalanche saved my life

I was in an accident while driving my 2003 Chevy Avalanche. I fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into the rear of an 18-wheeler and had it not been for the steel-reinforced bars in my doors of my 2003 Chevy Avalanche I would have certainly been crushed. Overall performance is amazing. I drove this vehicle all the way to northern Oregon and back to Louisiana with ease. It gets great gas mileage and is comfortable for multiple passengers like no other vehicle. I can't imagine ever wanting a different vehicle. The Avalanche is perfect for single or multiple passengers and great for daily use and or travel. Bed covers for easy to put on and take off and I never once experienced any mechanical troubles with this vehicle. My next vehicle will absolutely be another black 2003 Chevy Avalanche. Best vehicle ever made.

  • About to hit 300,000 miles

I drive this truck nearly every day; anything from commuting to work, to hauling a heavy load, to being in the Florida clay. It has never let me down. Only replaced water pump Just like I bought her otherwise. 5.3 is likely the best engine Chevy stuck in a truck for durability.
