Almost 200,000 Km and 18 years of ownership

All in all it has been a great car and I have owned it since 11K, now almost 200K. Winter stored so no rust, I have driven it like a sports car and it has never let me down. 3 issues over 18 years. #1 was drivers side window motor (EZ replacement) #2. I've blown both front speakers, #3. One bearing let go in the rear end. It still has all the original bulbs even and only the second set of brakes, original clutch, exhaust still looks new underneath (about 8 sets of tires though). It is a pewter, 6 speed LS1 SS model Convertible and a rare sight. I've never seen one like it.

The LS1 is an very reliable and buildable engine

Excellent daily driver with some performance to make the driving experiance fun! Good handling Camaro with a very responsive engine. Rear end gearing could be lower but factory gears provide 20mpg for daily driving.

Underappreciated value for the money

The last of the F-body Camaros are a serious value. They are basically a corvette drive train crammed into a mostly plastic body with a back seat. The front seats have plenty of room while the rear is small but unlike todays coupes where the leg wells are missing is actually usable for kids. The reliability is great and there is no sales distractions like silly lane assist or pseudo text messaging front braking. its a drivers car that is very rewarding and reliable.

Beat running car ive had.

Actually put winter tires on it and have used it through all seasons. Easy to work on, except for changing plusgs because the motor goes under the dashboard.

Just looking now

I am in the looking stage for a 1993 through 2002 Camaro, preferably a SLP, SS-Z28 with a manual transmission.
