Very good car for the money. Had to shop for the deal though. Car rides nice, no irregular road noises like riding in a "tin can." Plenty of pep for the 4 cyl engine. My average speed is 30 miles per hour and I am getting 28.5 mpg! Was looking at a Focus, but this is cheaper to repair and more room in the interior.

Great car bought it at 40k now over 108k and still going strong. Never had any problems always started, no problems, never replaced anything (other then fluids, filters and tires the normal stuff) Never going to trade it in. BEST car for your money! I used a wix air filter with a new oil change (normal oil no sythetic) drove from nm to nv over 600 miles and I got 40-50 mpg. Only about $55 of gas at $3.50 a gallon!

This car is seven years old with 88K miles but is as clean as a new car, in fact it still seems like a new car ecsept for the radio buttons and a missing plastic cover on the back part of the child seat strap attachment. I payed blue book value, got a two year warranty, and put in a new radio for $500 and am very happy with the car. I get a good 30 mpg commuting to work and 42 on the highway so I feel I have an edge on rising gas prices. The car has security features that can get annoying at times- the horn with honk if you open the door "out of secuence" so you have to have the key fob or else! It is a midsize feel to it where as a Ford focus feels like a minisized compact car. Overall no problems yet and if it is like the Cavalier I owned prevously it should have a very good engine reliability and go to the Cavalier's 142K mileage. I expect to own the car for ten years - 100K miles with only ecessory engine parts ( like altinator, battory) that will need replacing.

This is my first car and I fell in love with this car. My husband has Volvo S80 but he likes this car, too :) This was preowned vehicle(about 30,000 mileage at the time of purchase) but has no problem over half a year (not even a minor one) This is a great car for the price and it is very fuel-efficient! I really recommend this car to anyone at any ages!!

Ive been driving my 2005 Cobalt LS for 3 years now and have yet to have a problem. Good handling and performance for the class as well as a comfortable drive. 145 horse power is plenty for everyday driving, good pickup and surprisingly good fuel economy. Styling is a little bland on the 4 door model, but alloy wheels and rear spoiler improve the overall look. Interior conforms to driver, instrument placement is excellent. Small personal problem with the range of the headlights (low beams only) but Chevy techs insist they're fine. Greater overall value than Cavalier, Focus, and similar model year Civics. Competition lies with the Mazda3 which has a slightly more aggressive styling and performance.

I have had this car for a little over 3 years and I still love it! Very reliable, have had no problems (minus a recall notice that Chev fixed very quickly). The turn radius is awesomely tight and it has some good speed to it for a 4 cyl. Being in Scottsdale, AZ, one very noticeable comfort is the veryy good air conditioning. My only two complaints would be seat comfort (easily fixed with some cheap seat covers) and that it loses quite a bit of speed while going up really steep hills. Nothing too major and I recommend this car to EVERYONE!! I still enjoy driving it! Bought it with 3000 miles and it now had 32000 miles. Still running GREAT!

My sister leased a 2005 Chevy Cobalt brand new.. and then I took over after two years. Since day one with her, the door panel was falling off. We brought it back twice, they fixed it, and it kept happening. After I took over, I then had to unfortunately take over that issue as well. Then not too long after I began to call it my own, it began malfunctioning a little on me. A traction control light would come on, my car would "jolt" back and forth and when i breaked the entire car would give off a big vibration. It wasn't constant, but this happened enough to make someone frustrated. Eventually it got even worse.. my engine light came on as well. And about a week ago, my car got even worse and I couldn't drive it home. I couldn't even turn the wheel and it was reading "low fuel" meanwhile i had plenty of gas. And for the week now it hasn't come out of this issue. The cobalt has a good reputation and it's really not a bad car. I know that I just happened to get a lemon. I'd recommend this to someone because I doubt this is a common issue with this car. good luck on yours!

I've loved this car from the beginning...it has never let me down yet. I've had no problems in the 14 months I've had it and it really is a nice car. The style both inside and out is very clean cut and leather interior is a nice option. Very easy-to-use controls are helpful too. It gets great gas mileage and is very fun to ride around in. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone because it is worth the buy.
