I bought a 2017 in 2019 with 35,000 miles.
I bought a 2017 in 2019 with 35,000 miles. It has been great up until 2024 when all my issues started happening. I have 64,000 miles on the car. I have had to replace the rear crankshaft seal, the timing chain and now there is an oil leak in the front. I have another Equinox which is a 2012. 80,000 miles and had to replace- Purchased a Used car

We bought 2017 Chevrolet Equinox 4 cylinder.
We bought 2017 Chevrolet Equinox 4 cylinder. Pre owned with about 59k miles. It’s over 110k and we’ve had the oxygen sensor and catalytic converter replaced. Also 1 tire sensor. We’ve put the 2nd set of tires on the car yesterday. Always Michelin as recommended and brake shoes. I just have to say I still love my car. It’s- Purchased a Used car

The car has major issues that the manufacturer is aware
The car has major issues that the manufacturer is aware of but has not done anything about. The problem comes from the oil consumption causing the engine to go out on you. It eats so much oil that it is impossible to keep up. They have recalled 2015-2021 except for 2017. I would not buy a CHEVY EQUNOX again no matter how- Does not recommend this car

I’ve had two Equinoxes.
I’ve had two Equinoxes. They’re great until they’re not. Both have had issues with quick oil consumption, and most shops don’t know what to do about it. The oil problem has caused timing chain issues on both.- Does not recommend this car

No warnig My 2017 Chevy equinox burned all my oil
Bought a 2017 Chevy equinox at 26000 miles and at 71000 the motor shook hard at a traffic light and then it shut down. The timing belt broke, looked oil level .. nothing.. still had 1500 miles for next oil change,, it never leaked. It burned it very fast and no warning lights gave me any type of warning. . Now I need a new engine!!!- Purchased a Used car

Worst purchase, still paying on it!
I’ve had nothing but headaches out of this car. First the oil consumption issue which is never ending it seems, then there was the transfer case issue that involved me paying someone to take apart my car not once but twice until we figured out the work around. I am constantly having issues that naturally require dealership- Purchased a Used car

Exhaust System Fumes
I brought a 2015 GMC terrain Im constantly repairing something. I now have exhaust fumes coming back into the car from the vent when I turn on the heat. The odor smells like rotten eggs I took it to be repaired at several places no one can find where the leak is coming from. I read the articles on the vehicle on the manifold- Purchased a Used car

GM negligence on oil consumption problems.
I've had two equinoxes and have oil consumption problems at about 100,00 miles on both the first one cost me $2500 to fix Now the second one is burning oil. I,ve t AKEN my SUV to my dealer to have the oil changed on the recommended schedule and GM has done nothing to fix the problem. I have never purchased a foreign auto but- Purchased a New car

Worst headache, not reliable!
I bought this car pre-owned but with less than 100k. There have been the usual neverending issues everyone is complaining about. The not understandable engine oil consumption and burning. The PVC issue that blows the rear main seal. Window motors burning out, back windshield wiper won’t stay attached. This is just a sad- Purchased a Used car

Lemon stay away
I bought a 2017 equinox two years ago. It has 90,000 miles on it and I had to replace timing belt, main rear oil seal and the fuse box. Stay away. Chevy wouldn’t help fix rear oil seal even though it’s a defect in the suv.- Purchased a Used car
