1983 Chrysler Imperial consumer reviews

under powered, poor gas mileage. you may think you can name a worse car but consider this; was the expectation of your car high, or was it rushed out to compete with whatever? the imperial was specially assembled, tested, and advertised(frank Sinatra spokesman) Lee I Acoca came to Chrysler to save it from a bankruptcy, and was proudly behind this turd. the fuel injection system didn't work and a recall was issued replacing gas tank, exhaust, intake manifold, computer, etc. now with the engine carbureted, the 318 engine got poor mileage and was under powered. it does look nice though, gets attention from the 50+ age group. and I've heard Steve wozniak likes em.
