manufacturer defect

recently driving on a newly paved road - 40 mph, large crack and the front passenger side of the car slammed into the roadway - the wheel, cv joint, strut, brake lines etc. slammed into the ground, shearing off the stearing knuckle which is unfortunately made of galvanized aluminum - one of the most stress-bearing points in the vehicle broke off causing extensive damage including frame damage. 3-year old, meticulously maintained vehicle -

Bad blind spot

Dangerous because of bad blind spot. Nearly impossible to see out of back because it sits high. If smaller car is close behind, you cannot see it. Difficult to park because of this.

love my new station wagon!

I went looking for a AWD/4x4 and this was the cheapest one I found with low miles. I love the car compared to my old Hyundai. I have no complaints and it is very comfortable on trips. The only issue I have is people think its a van or station wagon, not a CUV/SUV and joke about it with me. I'm laughing all the way to the bank. These vehicles are very reasonable used and if your cheap like me, this vehicle is perfect. I wish the weather was poor so I could how it handles in the snow! I have no clue why chrysler stopped making them, it rides like your on a cloud.

disappointed

I have owned my Pacifica for 2 years full of constant repairs and large bills. My care has been in the shop 3-4 times each year, with the bill at least $1,000.00 each time. The factory warranty covered some of the costs, but many were not covered. I like the size and feel of the Pacifica, but the constant worry about repair costs has caused me to trade in my car for something more reliable.

Great crossover, good value

Love this car we have the 07 touring with the 4.0 V6. plenty of power to move this heavier car around. 3rd row is strictly for kids. When rear seats are folded, you can't beat this car for family outings and daily stuff commuting, grocery getting ect. 20-22mpgs on average (combination city hgwy) Almost a minivan but much cooler to drive. just wish there was more head clearance when getting in the darn thing. and wish there was a more substantial armrest on the center console.

Best family vehicle I have ever owned

We bought this car new in 2004, 1st year. After we test drove it with the kids for about an hour and hearing my wife say that it is the most comfortable car she has ever ridden in, we bought it. We have owned Audis, Jaguars, Saabs, etc. So when she said this it meant something. We had some growing pains in the beginning but the dealer took care of everything under warranty with a smile and always gave us a loaner when it needed service. The kids loved the sound system and the DVD, so did we. I must say the surround sound is incredible with a movie. We also have the wireless headphones so the kids can watch a movie and we can listen to a CD at the same time. Great feature! This car has been to the beach, the mountains long and short trips and now has 105000 miles on it. The all wheel drive is great, we actually had to give a Subaru driver a ride during a snow storm because his car was stuck. Would we buy another, absolutely. It is a shame that Chrysler stopped making it after only 4 years, what a mistake. We are looking for an 08 with little or no miles.

43 K and I'm without my car AGAIN.

When I first purchased this car It was for what looked like lots of room because I'm always hauling a lot of kids around. We soon found that you can't get anyone in the third row of seats who have any legs. My 6 year old is crowded back there and the only way to get back there is to step on the second row of seats or on the center console. Heat never reaches back there either. But those things I could look past. However when I had to have a new transmission at 29,000 miles I was furious. The fact that the light didn't come on until I was stranded with kids on the side of the road did not help either. I had taken it to to dealer the day before and they said there was nothing wrong with it. So now I am driving with a new transmission and 14, 000 miles later my car is back for motor mount issues. Keep in mind I drive kids around, not a speed racer or 4wd. I am discusted with this car and stuck with it. I absolutly would not recommend it.

25k miles and serious tranny problems...

Great power, front two rows of seats are real comfortable, but rear is for kids only, not much for cargo room with 3 kids, good gas mileage with 4 litre V6 and AWD. Good highway car. Tranny makes serious clunks, hesitates, and jerks erratically, in the shop right now...

Excellent Buy

One of the Auto World's best kept secrets. On the positive side: 1. Outstanding acceleration for size. Levels the mountains of Colorado on our trips back home. 2. Transmission is a perfect match for engine. 3. Lots of features for the $$. Dual air/ side curtains airbags/moderately priced options. 4. I like the styling better now than when I bought it. 5. Highway mileage between 24 and 26. 6. Quiet cabin. On the negative side: 1. Steering is a bit too sensitive. Would like more feedback. After a few thousand miles not an issue any more. 2. My first Crossover/SUV - would have purchased back up camera as well as power lift gate Summation: If you go and compare the Pacifica to its competition relative to what actually costs out the door and the features included you will be impressed.
