I like it

Good car for single person. Only problem is the back window which should be bigger for back-up safety. It has been reliable except when I had to replace battery

Built to last!

We brought this car new and have loved it. Now nearly 10 years on it’s never missed a beat. Have had it regularly serviced and looked after it. It’s still in fabulous condition and about to hand it down to my son for his first car. Goes well and will make a fabulous first day!

Worst thing I've bought in the past 10 years

Bought the car with 105k miles for 3600$ from a little dealer Front subframe was done on a recall, dealer didn't do an alignment killing a set of tires, try to get it alignment ball joint bad on rf, get that done (control arm and ball joint 1 unit). 1 Week later notice noise in front, lf ball joint bad. Replace and realigned AGAIN. 1 month later notice noise again from rf take it back, deflective ball joint. Replace that one and get it aligned again (3 alignments so far, new tires are showing wear again). Middle of June come and something in the rear end breaks making a lot of noise and causing the rear end to dance around when hitting bumps. Upper trailing arm mount broke from the subframe, rusted out. Rear subframe and a 2nd set of tires as well as trailing arms and control arms. Took it for 4th alignment had to have rear truck arm bushing done and they said a wheel bearing. I travel a lot and put a lot of miles on cars. In almost 50k miles I've had to put in more then I paid for the car. I usually buy Chevy Impalas and have had to put a transmission in one off them and still cost less then this car. When this thing dies I'll be going back to Impalas. I won't ever buy another one of these again. I thought I would save a bit of money going to something with a 4cyl.

Dodges xxxxxxx Child

I have owned my 2011 Caliber Heat for just a few months and it is no longer safe to drive because it will not accelerate past 20mph and it will shut off and leave me stranded. The windshield wipers habe stopped functioning altogether along with the ac (the horn wasnt functional when i purchased the car but it still managed to pass inspection). Tthe engine light for fuel emission leak came on just 24 hours after the car was in my name. Now the engine isnt able to keep power if it even is able to get it started and this could be the fuse box (+$1000 repairs) throttle body($500 repairs) or a few other things i have seen online. I also discovered that dodge is notorious for building xxxxty cars and not claiming responsibility for the poor manufacturing. There are at least 2 recalls from dodge for the airbags and steering column tho.

First car

When I first bought it they did a recall on my catalic converter. It hydroplanes super easy. On rainy days I hate driving my car. Going up a hill or at a complete stop. It won’t let me accelerate. I get terrible traction. (The trend on my tires are very good so that’s not the case) and it makes this loud sound and it’s like I’m hydroplaning. Absolutely will never buy a car like this again. And definitely would not recommend it. I shouldn’t feel unsafe to drive my car on wet roads or on snowy days. And I’m terrified for winter coming up. Not to mention I have talked to multiple people who have previously owned one, and they told me they had to trade it in Bc of how bad it hydroplanes

Most reliable car I’ve owned

This car met all of my needs. Going to school and work. I am very thankful for it. But it’s time for a bigger car for my baby on the way

Decent vehicle, good gas mileage

The caliber has an average ride with expected road noise, however the manual transmission noise can get annoying at times upon acceleration. The gas mileage is good, as I use it primarily as a daily driver. The 2.0 engine is sufficient and has good acceleration. Mine is the Express model.

Cute and Reliable

This car met all of my needs. It had a Continuous Velocity Transmission and a lot of get up and go, but it had a lot of road noise. That's the only complaint I have. It was a great car.
