My third Durango

This Durango is my second favorite of the 3 that I have owned. I bought my 2016 Durango Blacktop new. The exterior appearance is sleek and sporty, however, the elongated, seemingly lowered roof is a downfall for me. My 2006 Durango felt bigger, more roomy. I love the half leather, half cloth/suede seats. They are classy, and hold you in the seat unlike just leather. The front seats could go a bit lower. For tall people, the seat doesn't get low enough, and the roof is also too low, so there's not a lot of headroom. Even getting in the door can be challenging for a taller person. The head clearance isn't the best. The 2006 Durango, was taller and easier to clear. The leg room on the other hand is perfect! When the back seats are all down, there tend to be a lot of small open holes/spaces. When we have the dogs now the car, we lay blankets down to help prevent a fall. The gas mileage is good. I'm not thrilled with the "engine turn off feature". When the car is stopped, it senses and turn the engine off. There is a button to turn this option off, but you have to hit it every time you drive the car. When the engine is off, the heat and air conditioning also turns off, not fun when it is either freezing out or extremely hot. I like having the large screen with the radio and other options, but it could be a little bit easier to use. The uconnect feature is awesome! The connection with my phone has been a Godsend and the handsfree feature is priceless! Overall, I do love the 2016 Dodge Durango. I just wish the size would have been better looked at. The Ford Expedition and Chevy/GMC Tahoe's, Suburban, and Yucon's are much more spacious. Something to consider with taller/ bigger people.

Vast improvement over the first model

This is my second Durango, my first was a 1999 with a 318. The 99 was a gas hog, but this one is amazing..I get about 26-28 cruising at 70-80, 24 average in town. I didn't want a lot of options, it's a basic V6 with UConnect. My wife wanted an Explorer, which we had rented several times and was also a great vehicle, but the Explorer is basically a Taurus based SUV/minivan where the Durango is more of a truck with its towing capacity. Very happy with this vehicle, it's quiet, roomy and has been a great vehicle so far.

The nicest and reliable car I owned

Cassens had found us a very reliable car. We loved that they listened to what we wanted in color and options in the car.

Ms. R

This Durango is very comfortable and I love that the display/control screen is more user-friendly than I've seen in other cars.

Excellent vehicle

Use this SUV to tow a 28' trailer with no problems. Only complain is the vehicle does not come with tow mirrors and the aftermarket doesn't make any quality mirror extensions to fit this vehicle .

Amazing Ride

I test drove the Durango R/T and immediately decided that this was the SUV I wanted to buy. It is very comfortable with enough room for 7 adults on a long trip, has enough power to thrill you, gives excellent highway gas milage of 22 MPG and mixed average of 16MPG. It gives better gas mileage than Sequoia/Tahoe/Armada and is better styled than Expedition but still costs less. I have driven about 1400 Miles in just under a month of buying it. The R/T version turns off 4 cylinders while cruising at highway speeds. My SUV has a Sun roof along with the Black top, towing and tech. packages. It also has blind spot monitor, rain sensing vipers and a full size spare. Tech. package gives Durango the capability to adjust the speed and distance with the car in front, Durango applies the brakes as required while in adaptive cruise control mode. On a drive through city streets, a woman in front suddenly applied her brakes and Durango applied the brakes before I could react. Seats fold and allow for more storage space for tail gating or hauling. Uconnect offers remote car stop, start, lock and unlock features using a cell phone - this has come in handy many times already. Beats speakers are well matched to the stereo and 1 year of XM radio subscription comes standard. Seats are very comfortable - I recommend the 7 seat configuration with black leather. Pick is very aggressive and thrilling in sports mode - a 0 to 30 or 0 to 40 is all that one gets to try in normal driving but that too can be fun in the right type of SUV; Durango scores very well here.

Can't Beat the Technology Durango Limited 2016

The 2016 Dodge Durango has the best technology of any car/SUV I have test driven, even the Toyota Pruis. So many conveniences in this SUV, plus space for 8 people. Easy to fold seats, so I can carry audio equipment and even a hand truck. I'm still finding more and more about this vehicle as I read the manual or just through discovery. Connectivity to a smartphone, syncing to a garage door opener, settings that can personalize how the lights, remotes etc. work, are just some of the features this vehicle contains. Dodge put the whole kitchen sink in this one (that's a metaphor--there is no sink) The most amazing thing is the instrument panel which can be customized to a person's preferences. I've only had the Durango for less than a month, so I am still discovering the tech wonders inside. So far, it is an amazing SUV.
