Dependable and fuel sipper.

This is a great vehicle with plenty of interior space, power and comfort. Very good gas mileage, great styling and feature rich. Love the oversized sunroof!

Great car for space

This car was all that I was looking for and more. I'm impressed with how much power it has for a 4 cylinder, it really drives and feels like a 6 cylinder. The fold flat seats are great for moving things. The look of the exterior is sleek and very beautiful.

Used Purchase

Used purchase...so far so good! I will enjoy the sync options to keep up with any unseen vehicle issues under the hood.

Enjoy driving it but some serious shortcomings.

I bought my 2010 Ford Escape for its safety ratings and size. I enjoyed driving it, but within the first year noticed rust on tail gate. Ford repaired it, but it wasn't a year before the rust was back. Within three years Ford had replaced my old tailgate. The moonroof also leaked within the first three years. My father discovered that the drain tubes were plugged with leaves and debris. Once cleaned out I now monitor it more closely and have had no further problems with it. I have had some serious and costly problems with the electric power steering. A small parking lot ding on the front tire left me unable to drive the vehicle. I had to pay for the repair and towing. Less than a year later Ford had a recall on the steering and I was reimbursed, only to have the steering go again a few months later. Ford covered all costs again but I was without a car during the repairs which took about a week---both times. Last spring both front tires, my snow tires, wore down on the inside because of alignment problems in a very short time. No help or recognition of a concern from Ford. My expense. Now, having driven it almost seven years and just over 160000 kilometres, it has become very finicky to start. Sometimes it does, sometimes it keeps me guessing. I need my car for work but don't know if I can depend on it, yet I can't afford to buy a new one at this point. I have really enjoyed driving the Escape but don't think I'd do it again. Problems occur too frequently!!

Very Happy With my New (used) Escape

It's a great little car! A little short on power at times but I can live with that. I test drove several and they all seemed to have a really good sound system which was important to me. Last week I had to drive to and from Napa 4 times for work and actually got over 31 MPG which thrilled me. My last car was a Lincoln Navigator so this Escape isn't exactly a luxury car but it is very comfortable and I love driving it. I was a little skeptical about the no gas cap door cover but it seems to work really well and is actually very convenient.

2010 Escape - Matt Ford

I am not one who likes car dealers. That said, Josh Drummond at Matt Ford made my experience very pleasant indeed. The car is great 5 Stars all around and so is Josh. Totally painless and above board. By the way, I tried to trade my wife my newer Escape and she wanted the 2010 instead.

All around work and play

I have owned a 2010 Escape 4cyl FWD for 5 years (110,000 miles) now and find it overall very good. The seat upon first getting truck started to rip and had to replace it (under warranty). I get 28mpg on the road to and from work if I am not pushing the speed to much. Around town I get around 22mpg. I drive it in all weather and have never had a problem. The roof rack is a little to thin for a truck but I use it an a regular basis. Cloth interior is easy to clean. If available get the exterior view mirror defroster, it is needed. On long drives my legs never hurt.
