2008 Ford Explorer consumer reviews

We had this car from 2008-2017 and it has been such a good car. There has been no major problems At all, if not any. We have had very good experience with ford products since we've owned fords since the 1990s. Recommend to all.

Great SUV. Rides nice. Very clean and well taken care of. New tires bought in October of 2018. Oil changed every 3k/miles and tires rotated every 7k/miles.

This is the second Explorer I’ve owned. The first one was a 2003 Eddie Bauer edition and I was hooked. I now have the 2008 Limited edition and it does not disappoint. Easy safe secure snow driving. Very nimble, roomy, overall just an excellent car (truck-for the purists!)

Great vehicle. Has lots of features. The third row seating is great for the extra passengers. The A/C and entertainment center are great. The vehicle has a nice ride and handling. 4X4 helps out in snow conditions.

Means a lot to have the extra seating when traveling we like that a lot plus very good handling on the road we always had Ford and like Ford products a lot .

Bought used with 88,000 and it had perfect maintaintenance record. put a good bit of miles on it but always kept up with maintenance. Only had the car a year before replacing transmission at 125,000 and then the water pump and thermostat for a total of $4200 and now it possibly needs a wheel bearing another $500 or a front differential assembly $2700 ! You cannot get a reliable car nowadays for anything!!!

Incredible room, front and rear air/heat, absolutely spotless interior and exterior is in great shape. Drives like a champ. I feel so safe behind the wheel of this vehicle. Great Experience with salesman Bill Fountain at Durango Value Autos!

It has the room I need. It also has 4- wheel drive and light kit which is a must. not a bad purchase except gas mileage

Handles good and rides smooth. It has great interior space and power folding third row, child safety features, leather upholstery, alloy wheels, power outlets and anti-theft system.

I had the car for like 2 months and then the transmisson went without any warning. They're know for bad transmissions. Other than transmisson and radiators they aren't terrible.
