The best car I have ever owned

My 2008Ford Explorer is the best car I have ever owned. It is a comfortable quiet ride. I have really enjoyed leather seats. I have 5 grandkids and they clean much easier than cloth.

Great on and off road

I've been driving this car for more than 18 months now, I bought it brand new XLT-4WD. Pros: - Great handling. nice ride even if you're in the 3rd row. - spacious but still looks agile mid-sized from outside. - many safety features. - very good torque for off-road. handles sand, rocks and snow with confidence. - all this comfort, safety, and convenience comes without complicated costly systems. - generally, accepted run cost (spare parts, maintenance...) Cons: - poor fuel economy. - power could be more, specially horse power for better response and acceleration. - tight storage for front seats, though very good at the back. (glove box is too small even for the user manual!) - XLT trim A/C is frustrating; you may only use internal air circulation for the in-dash vents, windshield vent gives air from outside! also the in-dash middle vents are placed low and cannot be directed to upper level!

2008 Explorer Eddie Bauer 4x4 V8

I bought my new Explorer in May and I love it! The interior quality of this vehicle is incredible, and much better than my last car, a 2003 Toyota 4Runner. We'll just have to hope the quality stands up to my 2 kids. The powerfolding rear seats are also very convienent, as well as the power lift-gate. This SUV looks amazing in the red with the factory chrome rims after a good detail. This is my favorite of any car I've ever owned and I am very pleased with the performance of the 292 horsepower V8. This is a great SUV and I recommend it to any one with a family.

Ford Expedition

Well ive been a Ford fan all my life but this explorer has made me worship Ford, its amazing. The cratfmanship put into it and tose luxury touches make the explorer the best mid size SUV. My dad owns a new Avalon from toyota ans that thing rattles, and squiks every were in the other hand our Ford expediton has been all good and we have ha no problems with it what so ever. With the time I have had my Explorer it is following the Exepditions steps a good all aorund vehicle that you can depend for any occassion.

Great SUV with Hi-Tech Instrumentation

I looked at many SUVs but decided on a 2008 Eddie Bauer Explorer because it had the best combination of styling and equipment for a reasonable price. The 18 inch chrome wheels look sharp and add some extra pizazz to the well known Eddie Bauer styling cues. I love the voice activated Sync and navigation system - this system could navigate and entertain you to the ends of the earth and is comparable to equipment that you would see on a high end Lexus or Audi. I linked my Blackberry via Bluetooth to the Sync system and in minutes could tell the system to call any of my hundreds of contacts in the Blackberry. The V-6 provides adequate performance and reasonable mileage - I passed on the V-8 in an effort to save some gas. I would highly recommend this for someone looking for a sport utility that has great equipment, styling, performance, and value.

Ford finally turns the corner on quality

With each passing day I am more impressed with my Explorer Eddie Bauer. It's a solid ride. There are no annoying rattles. The cabin is exceptionally quiet and the gauges and controls are all very visible and easy to operate. The styling is unique and distinctively Ford. My dad worked at Ford for over 50 years. If he were alive today he would be very proud that Ford has turned the corner and committed themselves to making quality cars again. I went from a Five Hundred into the Explorer and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it handled in tight spots as well as how smooth the ride was. I haven't felt this passionately about a new vehicle purchase in quite some time.
