2008 Ford Explorer consumer reviews

We bought this car used with 128K miles on it to use as a winter driver. I wanted a V8 engine due to reliability concerns with the V6. The car is very clean, and drives as it should. Fuel economy is worse then expected, at 14 MPG combined driving. The 4.6 3 valve engine produces more then ample power (291 HP) for this car. I'm used to a Mustang GT Premium with 475 HP, and am not disappointed with the Explorer. These engines are prone to valve train noise at idle, and this one is no exception. As for the vehicle, quality is good where it counts, such as the structure of the vehicle. Trim quality is poor in places. Handling is very good for an SUV. The 4x4 would have benefited from a limited slip rear differential.

Would have jumped on this, but I needed a 4 wheel drive. Will make the next owner of this truck very happy. Dont miss out!!!

I found this SUV on the web. It was the exact make, model, year and mileage I was looking for with most importantly the 4 wheel drive. It was a former 1 owner vehicle with leather seats. It drives like a dream. I was impressed with the repairs the dealer had completed prior to my purchase. There are lots of bells and whistles including auto startup which I wasn?t necessarily looking for but I?m loving it. It has fog lights I always wanted. I live in a rural area and the additional lighting is so helpful. Pretty close to a perfect vehicle and well priced for the exceptional condition of the vehicle and working amenities.

From test driving it I felt very comfortable with it I felt like I was high above the world. I hope this car gives me a good experience.

the explorer is a very comfortable ride ,has room, drives nice and 4 wheel drive for the nasty winters in Chicago.I also found the color I wanted.

the Explorer I purchased was Just what I was looking for. I have owned them in the past. And I'm very happy I bought another one.

This is an excellent SUV! As clean as a whistle inside and out! It?s mechanically sound, it was serviced for us and ready to go when we agreed to pick it up. The staff was very helpful!

My second Explorer. Keep up with the service and it will not let you down !!! Comfortable and great in the snow . The gas mileage is not bad also.

This vehicle was great in the snow. Very reliable. Stylish SUV that has plenty of room inside for traveling.
