Best all round vehicle available!!!

One of the most fun, responsive, and well-designed vehicles I've ever owned, in 50 years of car ownership. Driving is a pleasure. It's an SUV that drives like a car with very stylish appointments inside and out! A great blend of technology, performance, comfort, reliability, and durability at a very affordable price. Very stable handling, nice leather interior, extremely well designed and finished, unlike other SUVs where fit and form was left somewhat crude and unfinished as a backseat issue. Adjusting to the the vehicle was a very short process-all the controls are where you'd naturally expect them to be. Materials have held up surprisingly well over last five years of ownership. All in all a really good ownership experience!

new explorer design for 2011-2017

I owned a used 2011 Explorer XLT for 2 years, added 50K miles to it, great size for hi mileage driving, versatile applications, good gas mileage for the size, nice creature features in cabin, requires transmission fluid change every 30K to avoid problems, rain on the roof is noisy

Family friendly and looks cool

With the 3rd seat could still accommodate 7 and drive an SUV that looks good pulling up to golf course with the boys or the family get together

Great vehicle!

I've owned this Explorer for a couple years, I bought it used and it has been very reliable - only had one small repair with the springs on the front end - only have had to do your standard maintenance. It is a great vehicle for the $

Finally broke the back seat.

Owned My 2011 Explorer for three years. Overall a below average SUV. However, I finally had to break the automatic bake seat. Not sure about all the Explorers but ours has button controlled bake seats. At first I thought this was the coolest thing ever, but over the years it has been a curse. The buttons have no protection from items hitting them that are stored in the back. Which sends the seats in motion and everything starts getting pushed around. Well today I had some of my daughters things back there that could have easily been crushed and completely destroyed. So when I turned around and an item in the back fell over and hit the button the seats started moving. I had no choice, but to spin back around and put all my weight against one of the seats to keep my daughters things safe. It broke the seat mechanism and now it will not go into the seated position. So now I have a dilemma: Fix the seat so that I can use it (very rarely used) and continue to live with the curse...or leave it broke, deal without the 7th seat and break the curses cycle. I think I'll leave it broke.

Nicest car I?ve owned

This car met all my needs. It?s super comfortable. The third row is super spacious and there is enough room for car seat on the second row. Very nice car

Love my Explorer

I have owned a wide range of vehicles from a mustang to a Mitsubishi and the Explorer is the best vehicle over all. Has plenty of room, third row seat and second and third rows that fold down so we can haul larger like a truck.
