Tailgate opens while driving, cheap interior
I purchased a new F150 King Ranch truck for work and can not put your tools in the truck's bed. The tailgate has randomly opened while driving down the road on about ten occasions. Now they have a recall. The last time I lost about $1000 worth of tools. When I complained they said nothing was wrong. Then a recall, the dealership did the recommended (recall) repairs, and I asked for a guarantee that it would not happen again. Nobody will say for sure the problem is fixed. I read on the web that after the so-called fix, it still happens. How can you use a truck for work when you can not count on the tools remaining in the bed when you arrive? Ford's Joke of a customer service said, "put your tools in the back seat." You have got to be kidding—a truck that costs over $70,000, and they don't give a xxxx.
Help me
2017 F150. 3.5 Ecoboost ,Have 60,000 miles on engine. had cam-phasers timing chain water pump and spark plugs replaced. Truck vibrates at highway speeds with engine light blinking.ford says may have to replace engine. this is not acceptable.
A man and his truck…
I’m the proud owner of a 2020 F 150 XL regular cab and I’m seriously in love with my truck. Comfortable, versatile, good mileage, low maintenance, and a real kick to drive. The regular cab makes for a sharp look and turns heads, and I get stopped by people who compliment me on my sharp looking truck. She’s just an all around great ride! My Eco Boost engine is more than adequate for everything short of really heavy towing and buddies always ask if my engine is an 8 cylinder when I put the truck through her paces. The AWD performs great off road and has never let me down even when I’ve deliberately put my truck in tight spots I thought she might not get me out of. In short, my F 150 is my best buddy and can be depended on to keep me out of trouble even when I push her to the limit! So, I’m a believer and proud F 150 guy. I really can’t think of anything I don’t like about my truck.
Just one complaint slide plate is a xxx.
For such a good truck it sad that Ford was so cheap when they made the slide plate. The slide plate is made out of cardboard.
F150 ROCKS !
F150 Crew Cab STX package, 2WD, with Ecoboost 2.7. WOW! Super impressed with the fuel economy and power on this pickup. Bought it new, it was a great buy. A lot of space in the interior. Big screen display on the radio. Interior is easy to clean, the fabric on the seats is sporty. Rides smooth for being a pickup and I would say I averaged about 19 to 20 miles per gallon on the city. Definitely recommend this truck, I would definitely lean towards the ECOBOOST engine. The 2.7 is plenty of power and runs awesome. If you want an extra kick go with the 3.5, if your pulling a trailer around. Also the app for FORD on the phone was great. It gave you all the basic info on the truck anywhere. Parked location, odometer, fuel, tire pressure and a lot more. Great buy!
F-150 Lariat 2020
Safe, Comfy, Saves value, Cheap maintenance I love this car. Powerful with less gas but you should know how to drive a V6 truck, never go back to Jeep after Ford
Comfortable and Fast
Purchased this F150 Sport 4x2 about 4 1/4 months ago. I got the 3.5L. Put nearly 10k miles on it. So far, I am pleased with the overall truck. Very comfortable and fast. Seeing an in city MPG about 18.4. Haven't done straight Hwy travel for long periods, so I am not sure of that mileage yet. But blended mileage, where I do both city and a few long distance drives on toll roads, I am seeing 19.4 mpg. Only concern I have with this is the 10 speed transmission seems to have difficulty deciding which gear to be in. Took it to the dealer and they said that is how these transmissions act, nothing wrong with it. Lastly, I towed a 16ft trailer with this and it pulled it great, barely even knew it was there. I do wish Ford would make the soft open tail gates for these trucks. Gate just slams open. All in all, I am a fan of this truck so far.
My F-150 electric problems
I have wanted to get a truck for a while. I was excited that I qualfied for ford credit. But than things started to happen. The electrical system started to act up. The radio lights would come on and off. Plus the radio didn't even have a C-D player. I took the truck into the place I bought it, and they kept for 7 days, and didn't even offer me a loner, so was out of transportation. I took it in a second time, again no loaner, for 5 days. I had to finally call the ford company.
Who can afford one?
These reviews are all a year old. Most likely because NO ONE can afford the new pricing strategy. I’ll keep driving my 2008 F-150 until manufacturers come to their senses.
Awesome truck
This Truck meet all my needs, I am really happy of be part of the Ford Family and hope be for ever, to upgrade in the future
