2008 Ford F-350 consumer reviews

I purchased this truck with about 80,000 miles and have had several issues. I had to replace the factory radiator and decided to go with an all aluminum after market with a lifetime warranty. I also had to do some extensive repair on the front end suspension as I experienced the "death wobble" that many other Super Duty owners experience. I would recommend going through the Internet forums, not the manufacturers site, to see all the issues and resolutions that owners have experienced. Just like any other machine, parts break. I have also experienced some difficulty towing across the Appalachian mountains. The roads have a very long low grade that is really taxing. It literally is uphill both ways!

Nice truck, both inside and out, however it is now just too big as we do not haul the campers or other trailers anymore.

I like how the 6.4 liter handles on and off road and how much power the motor gives while towing a heavy load

I bought a 2008 Ford F350 srw with a 6.4 diesel. I loved the look of it, but thats it. I had nothing but problems. The exhaust filter never could get fixed right. Lots of problems with injectors, glo plugs, transmision, poor fuel mileage, it always got 10-12 mpg ! Couldnt wait to trade in. Just bought a 2011 Chevy 3500 srw with LTZ trim and the 6L gas engine. This truck is awesome. It rides smoother, better interior, better leather seats. Drove it home with cruise control set at 63, and got 17.5 mpg! We haul heavy trailors and have plenty of power. I would never buy another ford diesel.

Really liked the handling for a big truck. I didn't like being stranded the first day I purchased it in the middle of nowhere Mississippi because of a faulty fuel check valve that took all of hour and half and $197 to fix. But 5pm on a Saturday and the engine is shut down. Other wise its been okay since. Interior is very nice and seats comfortable. Would like to see little better fuel economy and acceleration but handles pretty good.
