2002 Ford Focus consumer reviews

I have owned several Ford Focus 200-2003, it is a very reliable car, spacious, economical and over all very cheap compared to Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla.

I was in need of a budget car before college started up. First impression was that it didn't look that nice to me (exterior didn't satiate my pallet). However, the old saying, "don't judge a book by its cover...", comes to mind. Inside is quite roomy and isn't horrid looking at all. It drives smoothly, but I bought one that was horribly taken care of by its previous owners (driver's seat broken, 3 of 4 doors actually lock, problem with the trunk opening via key, and very dirty). Anyway, when given a choice for a nice, cheap, and safe vehicle, I cant really complain. Plus, I average about 26 or so mpg, which at this price point, is NICE!

We were so attached to this car. Bought it used in 2015, had it until late 2017. It wasn't a long time, but it was such a nice and reliable car to own for the couple of years we had it. Towards the end, we had some issues that eventually ended in a big engine and transmission failure (at the same time), and we'd already settled on buying a newer car. But a big plus was that we could take our car anywhere and they'd be good to go with a fix.

car is comfortable to drive and getting in and out......weight of car feels good and safe. I would definitely recommend the Ford Focus to other and I would buy another when the time comes

Very nice car to beat up on your daily commute. 0-60 in 7.5 seconds gets you from light to light very quickly. Gotta love when the Imports pull up next to me, and my car is louder STOCK than the civics with the aftermarket exhaust. I just love the Getrag 6 speeds and always have, and this car is geared exquisitely close together to really get you up there fast. I've got nothing but good things to say.

It's a decent reliable car for the money. meets all my needs with great gas mileage. Performance of the Spi/ split port 2.0L engine is beyond sad although..

I loved that for commuting it had great gas mileage, the handling was tight, and it wasn't bad in the snow.

Well balanced, fun to drive, good gas mileage. A dual mass flywheel makes shifting at speed easy and precise. Makes you feel like a pro. Seats are nicely bolstered with plenty of adjustability. I've never felt wanting for power in any driving situation, which is a lot to say for a normally aspirated 4 banger.

I drove this car for 15 years all around the country. Its was a comfortable, economical car. It fits 4 people or a family with car seats. Only changed the maintenance items, making a low cost of ownership vehicle. Parks anywhere easily. Great for in city or freeway driving. I would definitely buy a car like this one again!

The car had great gas mileage. The interior was not the most interesting to look at and it was made rather cheaply but it was comfortable. The exterior was nothing fancy but I thought it was kind of cute. Drives smooth as long as you can properly operate a stick shift. I really liked driving this car.
