2002 Focus SVT Great little ride!

This was the first of 3 Focuses that I've owned. I got it new-used with 9k miles on it, and have had no major problems with it since I bought it. To be specific all appropriate maintenance was performed and age related, wear and tear items are taken into account. I recently handed it over to my son. Engine is still strong and doesn't burn oil. I don't for see any major problems in the next couple of years. The other two Focuses are delivery cars for my business and are also a great value for the money.

Reliable Car Definitely Not For Looks !

Got this car at 135,000 miles.. was my first car my dad bought it at an auto auction he had no idea it was a stick shift so yeah that was interesting... Although it was a fun learning experience it was still a overall good car when it came to reliability. Very minor fixes whenever something did go wrong and awesome on gas. Moral of the story is if you want a cheap and ugly car that will last a long time and won't need a lot of fixing this is the car for you.

Gas saver

Cars is great on gas and saves on travel time, small truck space, back seats are a little tight, but overall I like my little scooter

Love the car

I've wrecked my 02 Ford focus LX at 90mph into a dirt embankment runs strong. 244k miles on the dash. Just replaced 700 miles ago she runs like a champ and allows leniency on engine fluids I ran it with no oil for about a week an no transmission fluid for 60 miles. I love the car.

2002 SVT Focus

A great "pocket-rocket". I'm the 2nd owner, having purchased the SVT Focus in 2008. The car has 55,000 well-loved miles. A fine road car, either on interstates or back roads -- not for commuting. My only mods to a completely original, stock SVT are: Goodyear Z-rated replacement tires; K&N air filter; Ford euro-spec rear coils -- all worthwhile improvements. The rear coils are progressive and drop the rear a tad over one inch, and completely transform the car -- better handling, ride, braking, and appearance. Be sure to change oil/filter regularly, as this DOHC is high-revving, exotic, and expensive to repair!

Great Car

I currently have 152,000 miles on a 2002 ZX3. Engine has never been touched. Original exhaust. Gets 28-36 mpg depending on conditions.. Controls are simple and easy to use. Drives loke a go-cart with 50 series tires. Replaced wheel bearings at 140,000 miles when 1st one failed. A/C just stopped working at 150,000 miles. It has never been charged, assume it is just low on freon. Still running strong.

Happy with my Purchase

I am very happy with my purchase. This car was a birthday present for my daughter who turned 16. This is a great car, right size, etc... for my daughter who will be getting her license within the next few months. The car has low mileage and single owner.

2002 ZX3 5spd 2.0 Zetec good car even at 212,000K

I bouight this car cheap last summer....had to do some repairs to get it working dependable and safe. So far, car has been pretty good....cheap to run and fun to drive. Getting 35-38 mpg....drives like a go cart. The heat will blast you out of the car in the winter. AC needs to be charged but still works even after 12 yrs! Lots of cheap plastic but not bad overall....I wouldn't get an automatic as those then to fail. Hear of some of these 5 speeds go from 300-over 400,000 miles....will see on mine
