I bought this 2008 vehicle from an individual. The car was in great shape when we bought it and has run great since. The gas mileage is the biggest plus for me. The one thing I don't understand is why they do not have a trunk releas inside the car. I also don't like the new keys that have chips in them and cost an arm and a leg but I guess that probably won't be going away any time soon. Overall a great car.

I recently got into a pretty bad car accident. I was hit on the rear corner of the driver side, spun around and was hit head on by a tractor trailer (she was slowing down). I was a little frightened, but I walked away from the accident with the cabin in tact. The car is totaled, but I was fine. The car did its job. There weren't any issues with the car prior to the accident. Good car. I'd recommend it.

This is the first vehicle I bought. I got it used from a private seller this year in July and haven't been able to stop driving since. The size of the gas tank is smaller than what I was expecting, but it gets good milage (28/32 is what I have experienced). The panels on the intirior are perfect and sleek. There are 5 cup holders in this coup! AMAZING! The sound is amazing, the get-y-up is amazing. I'm a college student and this car is perfect for the average college student. I've never been happier.

I am a first-year college student. I recently bought this car used for $9,000. It had 40,000 miles on it. Runs smoothly, excellent exterior and interior style. I highly recommend this car.

In March 2010 purchased a 2008 Ford Focus SE 4 dr sedan with 27,000 miles on it. This was my first car in over 20 years and the first Ford in 30 years. This car was GREAT!!! I was a diehard Chevy person, but this car made made me a believer in FORD. In over 3 1/2 years of ownership, 2 sets of tires, 1 battery and brake pads that lasted 99,500 miles. I was getting nearly 40 mpg, using full synthetic oil. I was on involved in an accident in late September where a young girl turned in front of and I broadsided her, totaling the Focus with 142,000+ miles on it. I walked away from the wreck with only minor back pain. I AM CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR ANOTHER FOCUS TO REPLACE THAT CAR. To sum it in 1 word, the FOCUS is GREAT!

I've owned my 2008 Focus since March of '08 and have just over 8,000 miles on it. Most of my driving is done on 2-lane highways with speed limits of 55 MPH. I'm getting 32 to 34 MPH with an an automatic transmission. From the very first I was impressed with its pickup. If I need to pass a slowpoke car, of which there are plenty on the roads I travel, my pretty little red Focus jumps into action and gets me past the car and back into my lane without worry. Getting in and out of the car is a breeze because the seats sit high, unlike my previous automobile which sat so low it was downright difficult to get out of. The ease of sliding in and out of the Focus was a major selling point for me. The trunk space is a nice surprise because it's very big, and the fold-down back seats adds additional length space if needed. I have a 4-door mid-grade SE model and find that for the most part the car is user friendly, with a few exceptions. There is no interior light for the backseat. The overhead light is directly over the dashboard and leaves the backseat pretty much in total darkness. There is no way to open the trunk without the key. While it's nice to open the trunk using the key fob, it would be better to also be able to open it with an inside latch. The lights for heat/AC controls on the instrument panel are so little and faint that they don't show up during the day. Also, they are clustered in such a way that it's difficult to use them without taking my eyes off the road for a split second. My complaints are few and don't affect the performance and reliability. If I could back in time and be purchasing a new car again, I would still pick the Focus.

I had a 2006 focus that my wife rapped around a power pole. The car was totaled, but she walked away without a scratch. So with the insurance settlement I bought a 2008. It's a great car, especially the Sync system. It gets about 34 mpg, comfortable. The only thing is I wish it was a four door sedan and not a coupe.

I purchased this 2008 Ford Focus SES in May,2010. I had been searching on-line since January (mostly on Cars.com). I have always been a Chevy man, & had just come out of a "97 Monte Carlo for the past 7 yrs. I had been looking for a newer Monte Carlo (04 or 05), My brother was driving me to dealerships in his 2008 Ford Focus SE. After being in it a few times, I really liked it, so I started looking on Cars.com for a similar car. Found one @Ira Toyota in Tewksbury, drove out to see & drive it, & bought it that day! This car had all the "bells & whistles". The SYnc system is amazing! Fit & finish, both inside & out is very good. My mileage just around town, is 28.8 MPG. It has good throttle response, handles GREAT(SES has a firmer suspension & 16" wheels). The seats are very comfortable & good support, my driver's seat has a height adjust for the seat cushion, which really makes a difference from the standard seat in a SE. Good trunk space, & the rear seats fold flat for more space if needed. I REALLY LOVE this car!!! And that is from A guy that said he would never own a FORD!

It's a pretty good little car. I have the 5 spd manual version and it get's great gas mileage for not being a hybrid. It also has a lot of cool features like the Microsoft Sync audio system that allows you to link your bluetooth phone to your car for hands free calls. A few things I don't like: The seats are really high in my opinion and you can't lower them very much (you can't lower the passenger side seat at all) and there was no option for electronic seat controls. There is a female voice that asks you for commands when you push the spoken command button on the steering wheel. This is actually a pretty cool feature but I don't like that you can't change the voice (the current one sounds like my 2nd grade teacher) and there doesn't seem to be any way to permanently set the volume for her voice. I'm hoping that later on there will be an option to upload things like this onto sync but I haven't heard anything to that effect. There's also no coin holder in the arm rest between the driver and passenger seats, and no lights in the back seat area, which I wish was a little bit roomier. Not much get up and go either. A few things I do like: This car seems to be an extremely safe car. Ford/Microsoft really took safety into account when designing the sync system. The more in depth functions on the sync system are disabled when moving more than 3 mph. There was an option for heated leather seats (soo nice in the winter) and also the odometer can be changed to tell you how fuel efficient your car is at the moment and how many miles worth of gas you have left in your tank. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase.
