My third Focus
My 2011 is the third Focus we've owned, previously had a 2007 and 2004. There was not much difference between the 04 and 07 so I was really not expecting to be wowed this time when we traded in the 07 because it had 60K miles on it. But - I love this '11 Focus, and it feels like "more car." It is a little bigger, the windshield and rear window are larger, the sightlines are terrific. The seats are ergonomic and so much more comfortable, great back support. The dash panel is fantastic, the car is quiet and rides solid. The heater is so efficient I had to turn the heat down (we live in the cold Northeast...upstate New York). Exterior is classy and sharp. Just love it. Great car for the money. I am expecting no major mechanical problems, as I had none with the two previous Focuses. Great job Ford and you didn't take any Federal bailout money, good for you! Sticking with Ford.

First Ford I've Driven Since 1969
I bought a white Focus SE and have driven it 2,600 miles. Gas mileage is excellent: 36.3 MPG average so far. Power is adequate, and with a 5-speed is more than adequate for my needs. Handling is tight and stable. I like the styling outside and in, especially the wheels and interior lighting at night. The Sync hands-off phone is interesting, and I've enjoyed the Sirius radio. I'm a Civil War re-enactor, and the fold-down rear seats allow me to carry musket and tent poles in style, and even a passenger if he rode behind the driver. The trunk is more than adequate. I'm looking forward to driving this car for many years.

2011 Ford Focus S, automatic transmission
I bought a new 2011 Focus and have driven it 1,000 miles. I like everything about it except three things. I should have ordered cruise control as it is hard to keep an exact speed on long trips. I don't like the factory tires or hubcaps and will replace them. Other then that I am very pleased with the car. It has great power for passing and hill climbing. At 100 MPH it is smooth and quiet. The metallic paint is exceptional and beautiful. So far, in mixed driving, I have averaged 38 MPG over the 1,000 miles. I would recommend this car to anyone that wants a small economical car. It is a far better car then I expected, for the money, in every way. I bought this year so I could get the 2.0 duratec engine which may not be available on the 2012.
