A good daily driver

I got this car with 35000 miles on it. And it's been a great car I now have close to 60,000 miles on it. I haven't had one issue. Looking at some of the other reviews it's important to remember that sometimes things happen mechanically to cars maybe one is good and the next one has some issue that's just the way it goes sometimes. what things are mechanical anything can go wrong at any given time unexpectedly. I have had good fortune with the car that I have . It isn't attractive car.it gets good better gas mileage than my VW Jetta. The only thing I wish it had was a better seat adjustment controls. It doesn't have a control for up and down. Only forward and back. I have the leather seats and they have been wonderful, easy to keep clean easy wipe up. It's a good stable, attractive car. I have the auto trans. I hope I don't wind up having those transmission issues that a few other people have experienced. So far so good. if you just perform regular maintenance the car should go for well over 200,000 miles

Excellent for the value

Good performing car, has nice get up and go. Well maintained for a used car. Clean interior, like new for a 2012. So far, happy with purchase, proformance. Our other vehicles are a Jeep, which we've had since new, a Mustang, and a Tucson. This will fit quite well for our needs.

Never buy this car

I bought this car 3yrs old used, I thought I had got a great deal. It had low miles cute as xxxx and had extra and great on gas. I loved my car until 3 months later it started driving bad on the freeway, it turned out to be the transmission. It had a recall on the problem and it was fixed for free but a few months later it happened again. I asked the guy that fixed this car said this was a problem with these cars. I traded it owning it less than a year and I had to get an upside loan to get another car. I wished that car a been built better because i really liked it.

OK basic car that gets good milage ---

Car is a basic car that does all a basic car should... Reliability is less than stellar due to transmission issues. Ford knows this as they have extended the transmission warrantee after they fixed the car.

Junk Transmission

Car was a pain, in the years I've owned it I've had two clutches changed and several re-programmings. Waiting at red light rush hour, light turned green accelerated but did not move. Stranded

It’s ok. No storage in the fro t driver/passenger

Paid $1700 for a warranty that would cover “EVERYTHING “ took it in because it had a short in the radio and A/C didn’t work. The warranty covered NOTHING. They didn’t fix the A/C. Put a part in that wasn’t covered (the module) paid $700 for new parts. Had to I purchased a warranty $1700, for a 2012 focus I bought there. As soon as I get home I realize there are electrical issues. The radio would short out and the rear sensors stopped working. The A/C also wasn't working. I brought the car in and was told the "A/C and radio modules were bad. Of COURSE ITS THE ONE THING NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. I had a feeling it was the A/C compressor that was bad and that IS A COVERED REPAIR. They charged me $900 for the module repair and dropped it to $700 to give me a " break". I was told they were waiting on parts, but found out they took the module from a used car on the lot and put it in my car. Still charging me full price. I pick up the car almost two weeks later, started to drive home and found the A/C was still not working. I drive back to the dealership and they tell me the compressor is bad and needs replacing. They want me to believe it just happened to go out as I drove home. I FRIGGIN KNEW that it was the compressor to begin with. I believe they just put freon in it and hoped it would last more than a day. TOTAL RIP OFF. I also paid for a spare key to be made . They charged $75 for it but never made the key. They also got grease stains all over the the interior head liner. LESSON LEARNED. NEVER BUYING A CAR FROM PARKWAY FORD AGAIN.

Great little car, good gas mileage

Excellent car so far. Just not satisfied with the dealer and what they said was done. And was not. Rides and drives great. Good room for a small sedan.

DONT DO IT!

When I bought this car it was brand new, it worked for a bit then the transmission issues started ford fixed it once after 7 weeks of “we can’t make it throw the code or recreate the event”, they hadn’t done the update on the computer so I was driving a car that was malfunctioning and not throwing a code because they didn’t do what they said they needed to. the last time it needed to be repaired for transmission issues I took it to the dealership and they told me that I needed a new catalytic converter and paying the $1500 to replace that would make it run better... it didn’t go in reverse... how was the exhaust going to fix that? Then they came back at me with “the fork actuator needs to be replaced” but if it was an actual mechanical problem then why was the problem random and intermittent? It would go in reverse occasionally, it also would jolt when shifting occasionally. So now I have a pile of crap sitting in my driveway that I refuse to pay $4000 to fix problems that “may be the problem” and I’ll probably scrap it.
