Best practicle / reliable car I've owned
Great vehicle. I am 6' 4" with a bad knee and love the low step in height. Runs great on highway and in town . Gas mileage about 21 to 25 mpg depending on my foot. I got the fwd and have never gotten stuck in the illinois winters. Got a flat one winter and the spare tire located inside is a stroke of genius . Only got 186000 MLS on it and plan to double that .

Better choice than what I had
This vehicle was just a look till we test drove it & then wanted it a lot roomier than what I had so that is 1 plus now I can haul bigger stuff how the seats fold flat larger space than a trunk & like this vehicle verses a truck also have a kid so with it all closed in is also a plus & we all have are own seats but can still haul so we are happy with the choice

Great Car. NO problems
I purchased my Taurux X SEL about 5 years ago. I was going to keep it for a year until I found something a little more flashy. BUT, I have had zero problems and I still have it over four years later. I've had to replace the battery and tires, but other than basic maintenance that's been it. It's very comfortable for trips. The tilt wheel and cruise control are dream on those long rides. Nice car for storage. Four of us and all our stuff fit's with plenty of room. I have been very satisfied with this car. It's definitely the best "used car" I have ever purchased. No regrets.

A very versatile vehicle
Initially we were interested in this AWD model to replace a trusty but very well used Jeep Cherokee. The Taurus X is larger and more capable of carrying gear for camping and winter sports but does lack the ground clearance of similar vehicles. It had a bit of a reliability problem as there were codes coming up, most of which were caused by improper care before we got it. In 100,000 miles driven it had only one major repair, the faulty input and output shaft sensors in early production models that Ford should have replaced. It?s unfortunate that this model was dropped, as it?s much more sleek in appearance and design than the Flex it?s being replaced with.

SUV room in a station wagon body
Nice and steady vehicle. Plenty of room for a family car. Feel like driving a tank specially on snow. The third row seats are a big plus. 7 passengers can ride comfortably.
