Cheap, reliable, and that's about it..

A Civic, in stock form, is not a performance vehicle. Reviews stating this should automatically be viewed tongue-in-cheek. It's dog slow, handles like a twitchy FWD mess, and leaves much to be desired in every "enthusiast" category. What does the Civic do well? Well, it gets good gas mileage. It's "comfortable"... I guess. In the marketing segment that this car targets, it's not too bad. It's also pretty reliable. Honda makes good cars, but it all depends on what you want in a car. If you want something that's cheap, no frills, and will get from point A to point B in the most unexciting way possible.... Buy yourself a Civic.

Great Car

I had a base DX for 6 years and I put about 50k on it. The car was a great starter car. I got more than 35mpg combined all the time (my best was 41mpg on a highway run). I would buy another one in a second. Great resale value.

HONDA LOVE

The Honda Civic EX Coupe is a wonderful car & such a great value. Sporty, cute, comfy, fast (for a 4 cyl), handles great, easy to maintain. I bought it with 128,000 miles on it but it seems brand new. Runs great, sounds great, no problems except for a few dings on the outside. The sound system is awesome, too. Not to mention the gas mileage!! Almost as good as a Prius, I'm not kidding. LOVE MY HONDA <3

I love my hondas

I had a honda civic as my first car and have been in love with them ever since. I have owned 5 in different styles and years in the 6 years I have had my lincese. I had so many because I buy one and fall in love with another. You can do so many different things with hondas and they are very reliable. Hondas are also one of the cheapist and easiest cars to fix. I love my hondas!!!!!

WORST CAR EVER!!!

I bought my car used, and had it for two years now. I will never buy another Honda because of this car!! Luckly my neighbor works on Hondas so I get the labor real cheap! It's in the shop now because the starter just stoped working one day, we fixed that and did a tune up, now the fan to cool the engine is broken...again. My car was in the shop 3 months ago because I needed a new transmission, a wire shorted out. Over half the time I'm calling a friend to pick me up because my car would not start. My car only has 100,000 miles on it. Now I'm saving my money to buy a new car with no car payment, a real car, a chevy!

Great car

I've had mine for some years now and never had a problem. Very reliable and fuel efficent. With gas prices going up it's a good idea to have a car like this.

Always Runs Great

It's not the fastest car but it is always reliable and you can always count on it. Never had any problems with this car. I plan on purchasing the new civic within the next year. Hondas run for ever and have no problems.

A Perfect First Car!

I absolutely LOVED this car! I drove it with my permit and when I got my license. Not only is it a "cute" car--shape and appearance is very important, especially with teenage girls--but it came with things not everyone gets to have: a moonroof (i had the EX), a decent stereo system, adjustable seating, a CD player, and i loved how it didn't come with a tape deck (movin' on up!). It ran beautifully and the gas mileage was great. It had nearly 150,000 miles and was still in excellent condition and showed no signs otherwise. Unfortunatley, I was in an accident not too long ago and the car was totaled. However, had I not been driving a Honda there would be a good chance that I would not have survived the wreck--Hondas are built tough and made to last and protect. I wish I still had it!

Reliability is so underrated

The Honda Civic is the perfect car for the city. Sure, it doesn't go from 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, but who needs that when your top speed in an urban area is on average 30mph? I had a Civic for 5 years, put 65,000 miles on it and never once had it in the shop for mechanical problems. My next car will be a Honda for sure.
