I have had two Accords and both the first and second generation CR-V's I've traded all of them at the 100,000 mile mark.....I was mad at Honda for making the third gen CR-V look like a grandma's grocery van--so I wasn't sure what I wanted. I bought my 04 Civic Coupe used-one previous owner-basically on a whim. It took a few months to get used to the size (so much smaller than my CR-V's)and I was totally scared of winter driving. Silly me....this car has been a total delight. I've put 40,000 miles on her in two years and she hasn't even hiccouped--40-46 mpg no matter what. I did the 100,000 maintenance early and replaced the timing belt.....because I fully plan to drive this car for the next 7-10 years. It's totally a fun car to drive. I highly recommend this car for everyone.

I have this car for four years and I bought it used. I did not have any problem that is worth mentioning so far. Sure, it is far from been the most comfortable or most performing car, but it does its job (bring me to the work) well. I would not buy it though if you plan to do longer-than-two-hours trips regularly.

I bought my 04 VP coupe in Dec 03 for $12500. I have over 120,000 mi after 5 years of HARD driving. The car was driven like a race car for a while. Engine was revved high and hard cornering and braking all day. It does not perform like S2000 or other sports cars but it holds up well. For $12500 this is a great deal. Why do people expect more from an economy car??? I get 33 mpg on average even after 4 years of abuse. Never had any problems and still drives like when it was new. It has more room than anything in its' class and cost less to own. New Honda Fit gets a little better mgp but cost more than this one and much smaller interior. If you go up to Accord or others you won't get 30 mpg. Best car I owned.

I have had this car since 2004. I have already put 92K miles on it. All I do is follow the recommended maintenance. I have yet to have a problem with it. The exterior is in awesome shape, espeically considering all the places I have lived. I have lived in Florida by the beach, Maryland near DC, and now southern Arizona over the past 6 years. I don't recommend light interior b/c it gets dirty, but that is hardly Honda's fault. All in all, this has been a fantastic car and great to own for anyone that wants a no-fuss vehicle, especially someone like me who is not all that great of a mechanic. Only downside is that it does not accomodate very tall people very well even if the seats are all the way back.

I've always heard and been told Honda's a great reliable car and now I believe it! I've barely done any maintenance outside of oil changes and the occasional brake pad stuff. Comfort is ok and it can still handle the weather changes and craziness of city living. 80,000 miles later, its still truckin.

I was surprised how this car handles on turns, etc. Very good grip and control on the road. I used to own a 96 Honda Civic about 7 years ago, and I noticed that the 2004 Honda Civic is much quite/comfortable and roomier with a VTEC in it. I changed the spark plugs, put a cold intake, and fuel cleaning system. It runs like a brand new car, and worth the purchase. It is very good on gas. I am getting about 30-33 miles per gallon depending on how I drive.

The 2004 civic coupe is an excellent car. Purachased used in 2008 with 54k this car has been the model of reliability. Tires and a new battey have been my largest maintenece expenses. My car now has 123000 miles and would expect to keep it until it has atleast 250k. Im over 6 feet but driver's area still has space. Has as much space as can be expected from a coupe. Have an automatic but is quick and responsive. Have to upgrade car size soon due to growing family but it will probably be an accord because my civic set a great example.

The Honda Civic handles well and is reasonably comfortable for a small car. We were able to find a 2004 that was in great shape for a reasonable price only because we acted immediately as soon as we found the internet ad. These cars get great mileage and they disappear off the lots as soon as they come in. My teenager loves the car!

I love the Honda Civic as a little "run around" - the gas mileage is outstanding - and with the price of gas these days, who can afford NOT to have a car with great mileage. The flat rear floor is awesome - gives us a little extra room and provides added flexibility for storage. I would definitely recommend this car to a friend.
