My Second Element
I totaled my 2006 Honda Element EX. It had 179,000 miles on it. I found my 2007 Honda Element SC (first year production) with only 72,000 miles on it. It is an upgrade from the EX and awesome to drive, more power, a little more space. Great for transporting rescue dogs. A great looking utility vehicle.

A car that can wear a lot of hats
With the rear seats up or removed, the Element can haul a lot of stuff. Ceiling is relatively high. Bigger furniture will hang out the back, but the point is you can still stuff a couch in it! Great for hauling my dogs around, too. Solid camping vehicle. Always fun to watch people try to figure out the suicide doors for the first time. An Element is still a head turner after all these years.

Best Toaster on wheels Honda ever made!
I loved it for the versatility of the storage the interior the comfort and it's deceiving because it looks small and square on the outside but super roomy on the inside you also can make lots convertible for storage and Hauling things like an SUV by folding the seats up there's a pull cord that you could pull and fold the seat up out of your way to actually haul stuff in the back and you can fold the seats down and actually make them into a bed if you're traveling and you need that there's several models I've had my vehicle since 2007 and every time I go in to get it serviced the Honda dealer tries to buy it from me which means other people like it just as much as I do so if you can find one with low mileage I highly recommended it's super fun and they last a really long time.

A MACHINE!
Honda should definitely bring this model back into production. It has more utility (while being fun to drive) than most anything on the road. I especially enjoy the great visibility: no need for all kinds of gizmos/backups: you can see at a glance what you need to see. This is a brilliant design, well executed.

Clever
I appreciate the thought that went into the design of this car. We took it on a bike trip last week. Both of our road bikes fit inside without taking the wheels off. We even got a third bike in one day by removing it's front wheel. There was no problem fitting in suitcases, backpacks, and extra bags too. We still had plenty of room to spare! The seats were folded up to the sides, which is easy to do. The trip was about 1000 miles, and we got between 26-28 mpg! We weren't expecting that good of mileage. It does only seat four. It is super easy to clean out with the rubber flooring. If you do lots of outdoor activities, and can find one, I highly recommend it

2008 ELEMNT EX 2WD
I bought my 2008 Ex with 78k on the odometer. This car didn't have a single rattle or anomaly when I purchased it. It has been a great vehicle for me now with 160K miles on the original powertrain and still no issues. Remarkably I have only done front and brake pads, an ac condenser fan,a front headlight bulb and rear tail light bulb in all those miles. I am religious with my oil changes and use full synthetic at every 5k and change the transmission fluid every 30k with genuine Honda transmission fluid. I love the Element and wouldn't hesitate to buy a brand new one if they still made them. I get 22 mpg on the highway and 21 usually in city driving . Mine has the 5 speed automatic and 2wd. Ride is firm, acceleration is adequate and you never feel underpowered while driving it IMO when merging at highway speeds etc . A GREAT VEHICLE !!!!!!!!!! I WISH HONDA STILL MADE THEM. Keeping an eye out for the new Honda HR-V which may be the closest replacement to the Element yet from Honda. Its release is due in the winter of 2014.

Best car ever owned
Either you love the Honda Element or you hate it! Our family loves it: safe, great utility, stand-up room for kids, and a snow eater! Great value for Honda longevity! Forgive us ... it's our second Element!
