I was constrained and would not buy this car again

My 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude 4x4m, which I bought last month with 36,000 miles on it, is a very nice looking vehicle. I had budgetary constraints and the availability of vehicles in Anchorage at that price range with low mileage was limited. I had been driving a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee for 26 years. I miss that car every day. While it drove more like a truck than a car, even at 6 cylinders it was strong and powerful. The Jeep Cherokee has only 4 cylinders and a smaller engine. It feels and sounds like a wind up toy. The Grand Cherokee had power everything, the Jeep Cherokee does not. And not even a CD player! I find the digital displays confusing. The placement of the side mirrors is very poor and makes it difficult to see when I am turning. It is hard to see over the dash board also. I have not driven this vehicle in snow or icy conditions yet so that will be interesting. I would buy another Grand Cherokee again in a minute if the price was right. Or a Honda CRV or a Mazda CX-9, but those available sold before I could get them.

Couldn't ask for a better vehicle at any price

We purchased our 2015 Jeep Cherokee V6 Limited new and we have owned and driven it for 47,000 miles now. We love it - and that's after us previously owning the larger 2011 Grand Cherokee! We don't feel like we have lost a thing in value, comfort or amenities. It is nimble and enjoyable to drive while driving like a larger vehicle. It has been an all-around excellent SUV, especially for our needs. It is primarily for my 5' wife's use. It is the perfect size for her and has plenty of performance for me (I own a Corvette). I actually drive it just about as as much as her because I like it so well and don't want to put the miles on my Vette. We did have a relatively few bugs to begin with, which is not so abnormal for a newer production vehicle, but FCA and the dealership satisfactory corrected them in a timely manner. Our Cherokee has been virtually problem free since then. Plus, we just returned from an 9 hour round trip while getting an honest overall 28.8 MPG while mostly driving at 75 + MPH!

Met my needs

So far I’m very happy with this car! It’s just what I was looking for in both size and features. I didn’t think I’d drive anything other than a Grand Cherokee but this car meets my needs.

I love my Jeep!

I bought my Jeep Cherokee Limited brand new in '15... I currently have just over 26,000 miles on it. It still looks, smell and operates great just like the first day I drove it off the lot. It's great on gas mileage too. I'm very pleased with my jeep and will be a owner of it for a very long time!

Worst vehicle I’ve ever owned

This Jeep Cherokee has been nothing but a headache within the first year of owning it. Transmission is a hot mess, several close calls on rear ending/ getting rear ended due to transmission not engaging/lunging. Replaced battery two times in 1.5 years. Now today won’t go into gear at all and dash lights are all flashing. Buyers beware.....Jeep offers no solutions only excuses......

Don’t judge a book by its cover.

The car looked great and drove great for a little over a year after purchase. Then the problems began. A constant issue with the sensor array, the transmission started under performing and lastly the windshield began cracking until it is spider webbing. I used to love Jeep products.

Worst purchase

Its a nice Jeep, but they sold me a lemon. And now i am being inconvenience again and again and again. Three times taking the jeep for the same issue. they claim its been inspected but yet still its the same complaints but now that the warrantee kicked in they finally found the problem. And i am being inconvenience again. No rental and i am being told no loaner. But i still have a car payment and insurance!! so sad.

Love this Jeep for road trips!

Comfortable, spacious, great sound system, power and speed when I call it, it’s there! Mainly traveled for work throughout Arkansas and surrounding states with a few family trips as well. Great vehicle.
