Great SUV

Going from a Lincoln Navigator to a Jeep Commander, I was impressed with all the features and creature comforts offered in the Jeep. It looks and runs great, the only thing is I wish it was about 4" wider and longer. The storage area is smaller that what I am used to. All in all it is a great vehicle.

My Favorite vehicle that I've owned.

Very Roomy. Plenty of room for the whole family. The V6 has plenty of power for the highway and enough for towing and hauling. It has made a lot of my friends jealous. Very versatile SUV that I use for everthing.

Affordable Luxury

Overall very pleased with my Jeep Commander. The wife made me get a model with more bells and whistles and boy was I glad she made me! Mine has leather, MP3 input, three piece sunroof, rear backup assist, power liftgate, and we had the dealer put on the Mopar running boards for a sporty, rugged look. This thing rides like a dream and we feel extremely safe in it with two young children. The vehicle is three years old and we constantly are getting stares as we ride through town and on vacation. If you've driven other SUVs the gas mileage isn't that different, but it is noticeable. I knew this going in so it was not a suprise, but the styling and overall driving experience more than make up for it. I traded in my lackluster Mazda CX-9 and have absolutely zero regrets! Too bad this model has been discontinued as there aren't many other boxy-styled budget-friendly SUVs on the market.

Best Mid-size SUV

We love our Commander, not just for the great exterior looks! This 4WD actually seats 7 passengers, it doesn't just pretend to (thank you Pilot and XC90). It tows like a champ as well, even when the cargo space is loaded to the top. We love our Commander and would definately buy another one in the future.

Best of all Jeeps

This is my first car. I would take a jeep over any vehicle. This jeep is amazing!! It handles awesome in the snow and rain. It steers like a car. Excellent traction control. Has a lot of power in that engine and is pretty fast. I like the beeping sensors when you get too close to something while in reverse. Has a great stereo system. Some complaints are although it seats 7 passengers, they have very little space. The cup holders are tough to fit cups in and can break the cups.

Wagoneer Two

My review of the Commander I own, is in comparison to all other SUV's, including other Jeeps. While my models is a 4x4 Sport with a third row and 3.7L V-6, I was surprised to find several standard features on an otherwise "base" vehicle. "Back-up" assist , standard 3-row side air-bags, and electronic stability control are found on my cloth, no leather, sunroof, or v-8 Jeep. Its styling is reminicent of my Cherokee that it replaced, and of past Wagoneers. I hit a 230 lbs deer and never felt it, and the vehicle....for such a large SUV handled better than many cars I have driven. It is quiet, and comfortable. Not as fuel efficient as a car, but as good as any other SUV. The V-6 is no race winner, but I do not tow, nor drive recklessly, so while not a dominant player on the interstate, she is plenty adaquet for passing on the highway, and merging into traffic. My only complaint is where the spare tire is located...which is exposed to the elements and criminals outside and underneath the vehicle. Some would complain about the rear seat room, and it is only suitable for children. if you need a thrid row for adults, then you should be buying a van or a suburban anyway.

LOVE MY COMMANDER!!

Bought the '07 Jeep Commander Hemi in August '07. Got a GREAT deal on it by buying well outside the metro area. It had 5000 miles on it when I bought it, and I have since added another 35K. No problems, whatsoever. It's very comfortable, I park outside all winter...in FREEZING COLD...and it is very reliable, handles great on snow and ice, extremely roomy, and looks totally awesome in the parking lot at the mall!! ;) It came fully loaded...auto start, heated-leather seats, etc. Which I am totally lovin!! So far, so good. I've had other vehicles before that I bought brand spankin' new that had mechanical/electrical issues within weeks. So I am very happy that I got such a great, reliable vehicle for such a good price. I'm SOLD on Jeeps from this point on!! Don't even want to think about ever replacing it!! I hear they quit making Commanders. ;(

love it

I have had this car for one and a half years, it was a good deal when I bought it, so the 17 MPG did not bother me. I drive 120 miles a day, so it does bother me a little now. However I can't say enough about this vehicle. roomy feeling with the boxy style, adjustable seat. You name it. I currently have 67000 miles on it and no problems yet. I have the base model. The only thing I do not like is the cloth seats, which is the industry standard. I have 2 kids who have spilt stuff, and well try getting the stain out by yourself, it is impossible. Get leather seats. Oh yeah, it handels the road as well as my altima se did, and I got rearended by a subaru, narry a nik and the subaru was totalled. Which was interesting, because I almost bought a subaru, and that accident confirmed it. If you are looking for a 7 seat SUV, this is the car for you!!

2007 Jeep Commander

Absolutely Excellent. I've had many vehicle types over a 40 year period and this is one of the best. Comes close to my Cummins 2500 for comfort. I'd recommend it and I'd by another. My only recommendation to Jeep is to increase the passenger side mirror size and put a convex mirror in it as well. Best viewing is with the 2nd row passenger seat down or headrest removed. Still don't know about reliability but time will tell.
