Owned a jeep before and went back to a jeep

Owned a jeep before then went to a range rover, couldn't wait to get back to a jeep. Love the third row, love the hemi, love the interior. and the exterior is all jeep. too many options to list.

Was not impressed

I rented one of these in Hawaii. Not because I am one of those tourists that think they are going to climb a volcano but because we had too much luggage. Expensive to rent. Nothing in this vehicle impressed me. The performance, although hard to test out when the speed limit was 35 mph, did not move me to crank it up. The styling reminds me of the G-Class's third cousin -- it did not get the good traits of the rest of the family. I was amazed at how little room there was inside even though it was the size of a tank. With the limited off-roading I did so I was hoping we had skid plates as it bottomed out a number of times. I had a new appreciation for my 1995 Pathfinder when I got home.

Great Jeep.....I have owned many

Great options....I love the bluetooth, My Wife...the heated leather seats and my 4 year old...the rear DVD and sunroof. I bought this Jeep with about every option including NAV and DVD and everything works well and cost only 30K out the door. I laugh at every Hummer owner because they wish they had it this good. This is the type of SUV you either love or hate...and I LOVE IT! No one can show me a SUV with as many features for a cheaper price. I do wish the gas mileage was better than 17, but what can you expect from a large SUV.

Best in its class by far.

I've owned my commander for 8 months and it is just a pleasure to drive. Hemi was a great upgrade and well worth the power it provides. The commander drives like a luxury car. Back seat passengers love the stadium seating. The only negative is the mileage, but the power and performance is the worthwhile trade-off.

Dream Car

This vehicle has a new trendy design that stands out from any other SUV. I look at the Commander as a classy-version of the Hummer H3. I love the outside boxy-shaped design, and there is enough free room in the front seats to stand up and dance. My friends like the stadium seating and had no complaints. There are some blindspots, but that is why rear-park sensors are so great. I rarely use the 3rd-row seating so I never have a problem. I believe this SUV is the beginning result of the synergy between Mercedes and Chrysler. I love the way it handles and I feel like I am driving a tank. I have a V6 and it has plenty pick-up for me. I would highly recommend this car to a friend, and I can't wait to see the new design in 2009!

accident waiting to happen

The visibility in this vehicle is extremley poor. The interier layout is so poorly designed, it's like you're riding in a box with very small windows. You can't see out the back because the headrests in the back seat are so big. The rear window is so small you see more of the grey interior than anything else. It doesn't matter how you adjust your seat you still can't see. If you raise up the seat you are touching the roof and if you put the seat all the way down you can't see over the dash. The area of the blind spots are huge!! God forbid if you have to use your visor, it will only leave you about a six inch gap to see the road. The visors are too big and the dashboard is too high. Thank God it was only a rental.
