Super reliable car
The car is really good, I’m lacking a cruise control, but I believe that the previous owners broke it, so I plan to have that replaced as soon as I can. Otherwise it’s a great car

It's Okay
So I owned this car from brand new through its first 37,000 miles (across five years). I got the version with 4WD and an automatic transmission. It doesn't shift when you want it to, leaving the acceleration feeling sluggish. I wish I had bought the standard transmission. I would like to give the "exterior styling" another star, but that 90's era whip antenna is an eyesore. The interior has all the comforts one would expect from a mid 2000's car, including an aux socket, iPod holder, and sufficient storage cubbies. However, it suffers greatly due to the pitifully cheap seat fabric, which stains too easily. By comparison, older model Fords have stain resistant upholstery. I had to feed this thing mid-grade gasoline, otherwise it would drag. During freezing weather, it barely moved unless I warmed the engine for five minutes. On the plus side, it maneuvered well, especially through snow. For such a light vehicle, I was disappointed by how under-powered the 2.4 liter engine was. The fuel efficiency left much to be desired. You'd think such a weak engine would at least get good gas mileage. The reliability is exactly what I expect from any brand new car: Zero problems during the first 37K miles (I even did all of my own maintenance). However, I can't give the reliability score more than three stars because 37,000 on the odometer is nothing.

I loved it but it?s a money pit
I love the luxury of this vehicle it?s very nice and comfy ride but I bought it for 17k and I?ve put 9k into in the 6 years I?ve had it. I enjoyed it but it definitly wasn?t worth all that money.

Most Unreliable Vehicle
This car was not worth the money. Needed a new engine at 80k miles and constant repairs even after that. And no one but a Jeep dealer could work on this car.

Worth every bit I paid for it!
This was my first new vehicle. I won't call it a car, because my Jeep Liberty is by no means a car. I wouldn't call my Jeep Liberty a truck, either, because it's not that big and bulky. But my Jeep Liberty is every bit a sports utility vehicle! All the comforts of a luxury vehicle - power everything, heated front seats as well as mirrors, and a sound system comparable to many high-end modes of transport. I like my Jeep Liberty so much, I bought a used one for the family.

Jeep enthusiast
Well I own a Wrangler, and have driven all other models of jeeps except the compass. The wife has always wanted one, and the Wrangler just wasn't going to cut it fir our longer trips, do we decided to look into the compass. Could not have been a better decision! We were not looking for brand new, and found a used compass that in every way met our needs! From the comfortable and roomy, and don't forget heated front seats, to the spacious back seat for our daughter. The hatchback has plenty of room for our luggage, it groceries. Or if we are going snowboarding the rear seats fold down to accommodate our boards and the rest of our gear. The hatchback has drop down speakers to have music at picnics or whatever! It sounds great inside one out! Very reliable vehicle! Handles great on curvy roads, also is 4x4 on demand, which were we live is awesome!! It's easy to use and works great!! Cannot say enough about the compass!! Would buy another one in a heart beat!! Great car, great styling, great handling, plenty of power! All around great vehicle!!

Excellent car
This car is economical with a 26/30 mpg. Always got me from point A to B. Very roomy for my family. I love that the back seats fold down for extra room.

Not ready for the sales floor
This vehicle is in need of a HUGE detail job. It is filthy. The engine makes noise and the exterior?s ding patching is not the best. Small amount of rust around the wheel wells. With the right price and mechanic, could be a decent starter vehicle.
