Would not recommend this vehicle
Although this vehicle does look good on the outside, the inside is very cheaply made. Drivers seat molding is falling apart. Both front door compartments are beginning to break. Rear brakes make loud noise when breaking. Constant issue with tires losing air pressure. There are hardly any standard features on this vehicle. If this is how jeeps are being manufactured this will be the last one I buy. If anybody reads this shop around for a different vehicle.

My 2007 Compass
I was so happy to have such a car with such a price. I think it's the best choice since that it provides reliability in all seasons. It's also the best car I've driven in the snow. I didn't have any problems during the snow. The only reason I'm selling my JEEP Compass is that I'm going to travel back to my country.

I'm Loving it.....
I bought my Compass brand new, and I love it. I've done great with the mileage getting about 25 city. I think you really can't complain when you're getting what you paid for. I've only had one problem with it and it was my fault. I broke the heat knob. But it was fixed within a few days. No questions asked and under warranty. I love the room inside, and it's a combonation of looks from two other Jeeps. The front end of a Liberty, and the tail end of a Grand Cherokee. I have a friend that has a liberty and loves the way my Compass drives over her Liberty. It drives so much more smoothly than her's. I LOVE MY COMPASS...

GREAT for the money!
I had test driven several mini suv's. The scion, element, vue, caliber, matrix, Mazda 3 and kia. I liked all of them except the kia, just did not like the drive or look. The vue was the nicest but too expensive for a work vehicle. (I drive alot with my job). The scion was also very nice the xb is the one I liked but the dealership was horrible, tried to hose me on a trade and just plain rude, like the A- typical car salesman mentality. The mazda drove great but was too small for me, I needed more storage in the back. Caliber drove great but again too small. Matrix just plain ugly! Actually I never researched the Jeeps at all and after driving the caliber the salesman, who was excellent asked if I had seen the compass and that he had 07's for 2500 off sticker price. As soon as I got inside it just felt right. Seats were comfortable, very roomy, sporty stick shift free sirius radio for a year...BONUS! The cargo space in the rear was just the right size and I loved the way it handled. I never did drive an automatic but the 5 speed handles pretty well. (I have owned z-28's and I had a red line ion with a supercharger) now this is certainly no comparison but again for the price was the best for the buck! If you are in the market for a crossover or minu suv give the compass a test drive.

My Compass is a LEMON!!!!!
I have had so many problems with this car. i has been in the shop 9 times in 1 year for 2 different problems. First, the radio controls on steering wheel stopped working and horn at the same time. recently the ESP light came on and they told me it would be fine, but when you pay $25,000 for a car it should be working properly!

Luv my white compass!!!
We have had our compass now for 5 months, already have about 10,000 km on it. It drove us all the way from Toronto to Florida and back with no problems. You can depend on this car!!! We did have to take it in about 2 weeks after the trip for a minor repair which was the air conditioning tub broke and some water was dripping onto our feet, other then that the only con is the headrests are not comfy.

Great vehicle-stop camparing to the traditional JE
I love my new jeep compass i think it drives very well but you definitely dont want to compare it to the traditional Jeep we all know. The Compass should be approached with compact in mind. The interior is very spacious although my compass didn't come with a grocery holder i think they should include those in all. It does have engine noise when accelerating but that was expected with it having a 2.4 engine. Overall i think the Jeep Compass is a great vehicle if your not looking for a traditional Jeep or suv style vehicle

Gas Hog
Fell in love with the styling and the interior comfort of the car. After one year and many trips to the dealer for minor problems, we traded it in. Mostly because of the outright lie from Jeep about the gas mileage. Living in Florida, on flat land, and driving very conservatively, we never came close to the 28mph highway miles. As a matter of fact, on the highway, doing 70 mph, the mileage was about 19. Around town and highway combined, as is our usual driving, we averaged 21 miles per gallon. Very sad for a small car. There must be a major problem with this vehicle because upon reading several reviews, some people had the same problems and others were getting great mileage. The dealer kept telling us it would get better once broken in, but I think that 11,000 miles is well broken in! Will never purchase another Jeep. Back to the foreign cars!
