Most fun I've had in a vehicle
My husband and I purchased a compass a few months ago. It is the first SUV we have ever owned and we absolutely love it! There is pleanty of room for our yellow lab's crate in the storage area while still having comfortable room for 4 adults. The steering is unbelievable. It rides very smooth (for a Jeep) on the highway and easily transitions for trips off the beaten path. The consol is actually very user friendly once you get used to it. There is a ton of storage space to use and the sound system is unmatched in this price range. The only down sides to our CVT 4x4 model are the head rests and slow rate of accelleration. The head rest is not comfortable for either myself (5'3") or my husband (6'1"). After banging your head against it on a dirt road for 15 minutes, you'll understand. The accelleration is decent but don't pull out in front of anyone! The lack of immediate response is well outweighed by the excellent gas milage. We have gotten a consistent 27mpg in mostly city driving.

I love this car - its just a great deal for the money. I have the limited edition and love the features, handling the style and everything about it. This is my first Jeep that i've owned and i'd buy another one.

Love my Compass!
I have had my Compass for a little over 2 months and love it. It is perfect size for me. I wanted a small SUV and found it to be perfect for my lifestyle. I have been getting good gas mileage, although the 2nd half of the tank goes much faster than the first half. I will get to a half a tank and have over 200 miles in and then the second half goes in about 150 miles...That is my only complaint. I have the Limited, and my one other complaint is that there are no lights on the mirrors in the sunshade! No checking out yourself at night! Other than that, LOVE MY COMPASS!!!

I like it because it's different for a Jeep
I have only had it for 3 weeks and have put 2400 kilometers on it. Fuel is at 35.5 mile/per/gallon imperial. It handles very well and have steered around 2 close calls with little effort on my part, it did the work. No it's not a rock climber but most people I know that own a SUV do little or no off roading, so why buy the model that can when you know you won't. I bought it for fuel effiecency, fun to drive and the safety features. Oh, it handles good at highway speeds with high cross winds. This I know because I experience it. As I said, I like it.

My first Car
My grandfather bought me this vehicle for my first car. The first day i saw it at the car dealership i fell in love. Of course and definitely i wend for the limited one because it had so much featuers. The limited =one has two- toned leather- which is really nice and a great stereo system;. I also got a sun - roof and the sirius radio that is stored in the car. It is really a great car. I just recently got my windows tinted and it really looks hot. I recommend everyone to get the white one becasue you notice it and its flashy. The sport one to me is boring and it has no exciting features

Great value- but know what you're getting
It seems to me most disappointed Compass drivers expected the vehicle to be something it's not. Due to a cancelled flight we drove a rented Compass from Atlanta to New Jersey before even considering it, and that included snow and ice, night and day driving- the longest test drive we've ever done! So we knew what we were getting into. I am very satisfied, just a few days into this. I am getting great mileage, and the ride is great. I've driven it on gravel roads and in 6" of snow, and commuting on the interstate- handles it all just fine. No, it's no "Rubicon", but for what it's designed to do, it's great so far.

More Pros than Cons
Pros Good handling, excellant performance on highway for a 4 cylinder (not what you would expect), Tach read 2100 at 75mph and had plenty of room left, comfortable seating, no engine jolt when shifting thanks to CVT, AC works good, good instrument cluster Cons cup holders are too low and too deep, average coffee cup gets swallowed by holder, needs rear seat pockets for storage, engine noise is excessive and tin like (but engine does perform well), My biggest problem is that ALL brochures and even the window sticker boasted that the side view mirrors are power folding-they don't, I even looked in the manual and they don't. Seems like Jeep cut costs on the assembly line Overall, a fun vehicle to drive. My wife and I are happy with the vehicle

Perfect for what's needed!
I LOVE this car! It is perfect for what me and my husband needed. We needed a small SUV that handles like a car. It's a safe, reliable family car MEANT for safe driving on paved roads. It's not meant to go off-roading nor is that what I was looking for in a vehicle. I think most people are way to harsh on the Compass and I think it's the perfect choice under the right circumstances!
