Kia Optima will "Wow" everyone!

This Kia Optima rides like Mercedes has more leg room then any other 4 door sedan in it class and gas mileage is over 23mpg on the highway. This car moves, is quite and comes with 100k /6 yr. bumper to bumper warranty!

Love this car. Can't believe I didn't get a sparsc

I was disappointed it didn't include a spare tire. Love the car. But now need to pay more money for a spare tire. Think this should have been pointed out to me.

Pass on Optima !! Go for Camry for less money

Issues with the alloy wheels, sunroof, radio, poor mileage, resale is terrible. We could have had a Camry or an Accord for the same money.

I owned a 2011 kia optima and this 2016 is vastly

Vastly improved from the 2011 optima I owned. Great handling, peppy engine, quiet ride. I like the sport mode

Very reliable car

The optima meets my needs. There are plenty of leg room and this may be a car but it does not sit as low as a car I feel like I'm sitting in a smaller style SUV. Great miliage in gas and great for family.

2016 Kia Optima SXL - 3 Months Ownership

Although the interior quality not luxurious, for a vehicle in the mid-size sedan segment, you'll find it hard to find a vehicle that is overall better than the 2016 Kia Optima, SXL trim. PROS The 248-HP 2.0L turbo engine makes it fun to drive in straight lines, although I wish it had a bit more traction (need an AWD), but hey, it's not a sports car. The seats (quilted nappa leather) and larger tire size (P235/45R18) make for a really comfortable ride, so much so that 65 MPH feels like 35 MPH (careful not to speed!). Many features like autonomous braking, adaptive cruise control, top-view 360 camera, beautiful sunroof, rear-parking sensors with rear traffic alerts, a beautiful exterior (especially in white, due to the white body/black sunroof contrast), blind-spot detection, lane departure warning, heated and ventilated front seats with heated seats for the back, heated steering wheel, dynamic-bending HID headlights, 10 speaker Harman/Kardon sound system with subwoofer, and so much more, make this vehicle hard to complain about. Estimated repair costs are lower than average (no repairs for 3-4 years/45-60K miles). CONS Fuel economy - As a guy that likes to drop it into sport mode and go down a gear or two, this vehicle sure knows how to punish me. You have to drive like a saint to get above 21 MPG, unless you mainly drive highway with little to no traffic. No power liftgate - The trunk will 'open' on it's own when you stand behind it long enough, however, it doesn't lift up (not much of a con though since you'll be hard pressed to find a mid-size sedan with a power liftgate anyway). Lack of traction due to being only FWD. Blind spot detection only works above 20 MPH. No front parking sensors. No automatic windshield wipers. The adaptive cruise control does not have start/stop capability (I believe they added that in 2018). Don't rely on the adaptive cruise control too much as it won't always detect the vehicle in front which can cause an accident as the car won't know that it should slow down or stop. No fog lights but these were added back in 2018. MY TAKE This vehicle is a great value, especially if you can get it at a great price. The first year depreciation on this is awful ($12K), however, since it lost most of it's value from the first year alone, the following years are very, very good ($2.5K second year, then $2K third, $1.7, $1.5 etc.). That being said, I wouldn't recommend purchasing it new to avoid that $12K bullet, but after that incredible value. Personally I got the vehicle New for the Used price since it was two years old, albeit manufactured only one year prior to purchase. I've only owned this vehicle for 3 months so I can't speak for it's reliability, but based on others' reviews on different sites, I'll give this a 5 for now and create another review later with any appropriate adjustments.

Love my Kia Optima, I also own a Kia Sportage

I purchased this Optima for my daughter. She drove a Kia Soul for 3.5 years and fell in love with the Optima when we rented one. It has high safety and reliability ratings and good gas mileage.

No Worries

It's reliable & economic. It's appearance is appealing in design & color, both inside & out. The sound system is the best I've had in a vehicle. The warranty is unbeatable.
