one of the best all around cars every built. bulletproof V8, exceptional comfort, and as reliable as it gets. One of the best cars for commuting you could buy.

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

This replaced a 2001 ES300, which performed almost flawlessly until we traded at 170K miles. The expectation was identical performance, and it was somewhat hit and miss. The engine is a beast, pulls strong (esp at merging speed) and still gets remarkably good MPG. The interior is decent, small cupholders, base radio kinda "meh" (but good enough), but surprisingly unappointed for its overall cost. Paint finish (Pearl White) was gorgeous, and held up to winter well. Issues for us were suspension, steering, and brakes (and a hood latch). We replaced tie rod ends, brakes and rotors twice, and a power steering pump AND rack and pinion that failed (costly) between 100K-120K, and ultimately was the decision to NOT keep the GS, but trade for another newer ES350. So, overall, we enjoyed ownership, it just had more surprises than we anticipated from a Lexus. It DID hold value well, and that is always a strong incentive.

Perfect Combo of comfort, performance, reliability

Best car I ever owned! I bought mine used, and had over 121,000 miles on it. Never a problem, smooth engine performance under any condition, comfortable, quiet, FAST! Beautiful to the eyes. Just can't say enough good things about it.

the GS430...the pursuit of precision

This car is an amazing piece of engineering. A well built and defined machine that amazes you every time you are behind the wheel, every time you look at it. It is a perfect blend of performance, luxury, comfort, elegance and power, the V8 VVi-T, 300 horses under the hood, what more can you ask for!

Best car so far for the money.

This vehicle has everything that a luxury car can possibly have. This is the fully loaded version of the lexus ofcourse after the LS. The GS 430 has the sport and the luxury package i have owned GS300 but this is you can't even compare.

Just bought 2003 (Dec 2006)

Before I bought the GS430, I was looking at previously owned BMW 745i and Audi a8. Both the BMW and Audi had pieces of the cars falling off and not working quite right. The GS430 was in perfect shape (I bought it on a wholesalers lot). Everything is easily understandable from the controls in the 430, opposed to a 'guess' in the other two. On the drive home, the ability to accelerate and pass cars in a short distance was unbelievable.
