Good car

by Timberjack from Maine on Mon Feb 27 2017

Reading the reviews and gripes about having to buy a new phone! This SUV is fine. Lexus quality. Got most of the F options. Very comfy front and rear. All the tech stuff is fine and easy to operate. Heads Up is neat. It's a medium price SUV and does just what it supposed to do! 5 star!

Smooth Ride

by Lexus 4Ever from McLean, VA on Sun Mar 19 2017

Very luxurious, quiet, smooth, ride. We love the interior and cockpit. User friendly dash. giant NAV screen. still getting used to the new aggressive exterior design, but actually starting to like it a lot.

Have only had this car for 2 weeks but so far so good, we expect nothing but the best from Lexus. They've been number one for years.

A pure joy to drive.

by KO from Milton, WA on Mon May 14 2018

Fresh style and snappy performance. Super comfortable with an elegant feel. Real wood and leather simply beautiful. I postponed this purchase specifically beacause of the new style changes Lexus made.

Beautiful vehicle, the display killed the sale

by MikeSp from Raymore, Missouri on Tue Apr 04 2017

The fit and finish was absolutely superb. I guess that most customers require the lush ride but I like more feel of the road (but not necessarily as much as a real sports car. The interior was gorgeous but the infotainment display was too far away to read highway names or much of the other details and I prefer a touch screen that is within easy reach, that can be read and does not require the use of a joy stick on the console between the seats. The second killer of our desire for this vehicle was the overpriced lease price that was substantially inflated plus the dealer used upsell stickers on all new vehicles for over-priced add-ons that were required for the purchase such as $109 for nitrogen in the tires (we do not like up selling and felt like it reduces any dealership's credibility). We ended up leasing a different 3 row SUV with an MSRP that was equal, that had more features and capabilities, better matched our needs for $170/month less and it could be remote started from the fob from 200 feet OR from an app on our cell phones from about any distance. It is much easier to remote start the vehicle with the fob when desired than always having to unlock my phone with my fingerprint, bring up the app and use the app for remote starting.

SHARP LOOKING, COMFY AND HIGH TECH

by Jiggz from Oak Harbor, WA on Wed Oct 04 2017

Quiet than a snail on the run! Comfortable with voice command to adjust cabin temp. Performance and ride is the best ever I've experienced on the same size SUV's or Crossovers. There is a slight lag when accelerating but not something that will negatively impact performance. Instead, it's just something you need to get used to as the tranny is 8 speed. If you prefer really quiet ride, choose the 18" wheels which provide more rubber on the road instead of the low profile tires used on the 20" wheel. But then the 20" wheels give this SUV a sporty look, hence a sporty ride. A lot of people are complaining about the steep learning curve on the Nav unit. Actually, you can just youtube this and watch and learn it easily. Others complain about the sharp edges and look of the unit. Of course, that is all relative. Personally, I like the sharp "Samurai" look instead of the old rounded edges. If you noticed, newer model cars from other companies are starting to pick up on these new styling of sharp edges. Overall, I am very satisfied with the car. Very easy to drive especially on long drives with its adjustable adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, parking assists, etc.

Best Purchase Ever!

by SarasotaKevin from Lakewood Ranch, FL on Sun Apr 02 2017

Why did I wait so long to buy a Lexus? It is the best vehicle ever, a 2017 Lexus RX F Sport, Nebula Gray with red leather interior. Smooth and quiet ride coupled with plenty of get up and go. Want performance just shift to Sport or Sport + drive mode. It has high quality materials inside and out. The 2017 comes loaded with advanced safety features too. I get lots of admiring looks and compliments. I will only buy Lexus in the future.

Our Take on the 2017 Lexus RX 350

The verdict:

Wild styling draws attention to the 2016 Lexus RX 350, but uninspired handling, lackluster brake feel and a lack of innovative features won't win it many new friends.

Versus the competition:

Competitors are numerous and varied, with the big choice coming in configuration (front- or rear-wheel drive) and interior capacity (two rows or three). The Acura MDX is the competitor most often considered: It's priced nearly identically, based off a car platform, and has a V-6 and front-wheel drive. It's a bit bigger than the RX, though, offering three-row seating. The same can be said for the Infiniti QX60. The Cadillac SRX is a bit smaller than the RX 350 and decidedly older, but it's also a five-seat model and features V-6 power and front-wheel drive.

Editor's note: This review of the 2016 Lexus RX 350 was written in October 2015, but little has changed for 2017 aside from many safety features now being made standard, plus the addition of a front-wheel-drive F-Sport model. To see everything that's changed for 2017, click here, or to see a side-by-side comparison of model years, click here.

Since its introduction in 1998, the Lexus RX midsize luxury SUV has been a hit. It's one of the few luxury vehicles of any type that regularly sells more than 100,000 units a year in the U.S. It's been a boon for the Lexus brand. But Lexus has always played it safe with the RX, with styling that was warm but never hot and driving dynamics that... Read More
