Serious (Expensive) Brake Design Flaw

I hate my CX-5. Bought it new. Had to replace the rear brakes at 14,000 miles on an emergency basis at the nearest shop (not Mazda service center, which was not available and created a scape goat later for Mazda to escape responsibility). Mazda won't accept the common sense conclusion: design flaw. Several months later, same problem: horrible grinding, excessive rust, etc. At 17,000 miles, I have to replace the brakes and rotors on both axles. The second time I was able to take it to Mazda. It's taken them four days to even get back to me with a solution after holding my car that whole time and they want me to pay for the brake pads for both axles -- $200+. They do everything they can to blame the customer and not take responsibility for an obvious design flaw (i.e., my car's history of vastly premature brake issues, as well as those documented online and the Technical Service Bulletins issued by Mazda). Of course, I'm crazy for believing any of the multiple complaints online about the exact same issue for the same year, make and model and Mazda issues TSBs rather than recalls to avoid fixing their design issue. "We see it about 1% of the time so it's not an issue." Yes, yet it is! To me!!! Mazda is awful. I hate even looking at it in my garage. Never again.

Great car!

This car is great, meets all my needs. Rides very quiet on the freeway. Love having all the extra space when the back seats fold down. Great gas mileage as well! Loving my new car!

Really Bang for the Buck!

I was initially very skeptical when my wife suggested Mazda. Never really heard about the brand, so was not just interested as much. We went to the dealership to test frive the CX5 and I was very pleasantly surprised with the car overall. The design, interior, exterior and the features it came with sounded too good to be true for the cost. Definitely value for money and really upscale car for the cost. I am still not aure why the brand and car is so underrated, or its just my ignorance. Anywho.. highly recommend one. Only downide i see with my model 2018CX5 GT with premium package is that they dont come with CarPlay or AndroidAuto. Beside that it would be hard to beat this car in its segment.

Best looking compact crossover. Bought the grand touring which includes all the good stuff. It?s not fast but fast enough, gets 30 mpg, has good room inside and is comfortable and pretty quiet. When I was shopping I thought it was the best value in it?s category.

Best car for it?s value. Feels like luxury!

Allow me start with how much i LOVE my new Mazda CX-5 touring with all its amazing features like a radar cruise control where it tracks the speed of a car in front of you and stops when it stops, automatic brake hold, and easy to use navigation. It really feels like a car from the future. Not to mention its attractive look, luxurious soft leather/suede seats, power lift gate, and boze speakers with a fire sound quality. I really feel like a million bucks driving it! Oh and does it drive smoothly, you'd think you're gliding on air like a plane. It's quick and responsive, and gives you an advantage in traffic when you have to act fast. It even "yells" at you to brake when you're coming in too hot and there's an obstacle in your way. I feel VERY SAFE driving it.

Best SUV I've ever owned (I've had 4)

SUV of my dreams! Gorgeous interior & style. very classy look - I got the White Pearl exterior and it gleams. I've only had it 1 day so I cannot comment much on anything other than the way it rides (very smooth) , the safety features (to the max) and the beautiful style. Oh did I forget comfort...to the max.

My Mazda CX-5 AWD Grand Touring is awesome!!!

I love my new red Mazda CX-5 AWD Grand Touring!! It?s quiet and responsive with luxurious high tech interior and beautiful wheels. I bought it from Maita Mazda in Sacramento, CA and I would buy there again. Mike in Sales and Shane the Finance Manager took good care of me!!!

Most comfortable car I've owned.

For a 4 cylinder this CX5 is perfect for comfort and reliability. The sport mode gets you more boost just by a touch of a button. Great gas mileage at combined 28 mpg.
