Great car

This is the second CX5 I have leased. A perfect sized /priced SUV. Love knowing that I am driving in a stylish vehicle with all the safety bells and whistles. Thanks, Mazda for keeping us safe!! 😀

Pleasantly Surprised!

We have been brand loyal to Honda for years. While researching crossovers, we noticed Mazda vehicles were highly rated by a number of reliable sources. We test drove several makes and models, and narrowed it down to the Honda CR-V and Mazda CX-5. The Mazda was beautifully appointed, and we received a better deal on an end of year new Mazda than a used CR-V with 6,000 miles. So far, we are truly pleased with the CX5. We thought we were going to have to give up the comfort of our Honda Pilot when we moved to a smaller vehicle, but the CX5 has proven it can run with the big dogs!

Great car perfomance, style and ride

CX5 Grand Touring AWD was a good value buy compared to other class of small SUV. Good performance, style and ride, though less roomier inside compared to Honda CRV, which cost a bit more. Love the heads-up display. Note: reliability, which is required for this review, is unknown for this new car, but from previous Mazda owned.

I love it!

This car has nearly every safety feature a car can have. Switching from regular to sport mode is easy. All wheel drive too. I love how quiet the rear hatch closes. And that Turbo...

Best car I’ve ever owned

Bought a used 2017 with Grand Touring trim. Super comfortable. Beautiful inside and out. Great acceleration. Loaded with gadgetry. Exceptional value! Definitely keeping up with the Joneses.

Looking forward to driving it in the winter.

I love driving this car. I was worried that I couldn't adjust, I have been driving Mazda MX5's since 2000 but wanted to put it in the garage for the winter. The CX 5 is great! I have adjusted to the larger size, love all the safety features like the blind spot detector on the mirrors, and look forward to driving the AWD this winter in our NE weather. The Miata is happy it gets to rest in the garage.

Missing Compass - Hanging Handicap Placard Problem

I love my new car! Dealing with my dealer was a stress-free experience. At this point, I can’t speak on reliability. There are a few items that Mazda needs to rethink and correct. A big safety issue is there is no easily accessible Compass. It is viewable in NAV as long as the NAV card IS NOT inserted. Forget seeing a Compass if the NAV card is inserted to allow use of the Mazda NAV system. I recently found myself in a seedy area late at night and thought I was headed North. I was in fact headed South, going deeper into the unsavory area, requiring me to pull over and search for proper directions. I have owned the car for 3 weeks and have less than 400 miles on it. Perhaps being very familiar with the operation might have allowed me to find directions without pulling over, had I had a visible Compass (ie, in the mirror), I would have known I was headed the wrong direction without doubt or confusion. The mirror stem on my car is too big to hang a handicap placard. The pull-out sun visor slot is too narrow to insert the Handicap Placard for safekeeping. I haven’t figured out the solution for meeting the law’s requirement to hang the placard in front of my windshield. There are two screw holes for the license tag. The tag is easily stolen by using a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws.

My Mazda CX5 is solid and quiet

This is our second CX5 and love the 2019 model. It is more quiet and solid than our previous 2017 model. Plenty of leg room and the Apple Car Play radio is fantastic.
