The car and the model I got fits my needs to a tee. Gas mileage is better then I thought I would get. My wife enjoys driving and riding in the car.

Very smooth and well built. This is the 4 th

Better than a Mercedes dollar for dollar. I saw other people’s reviews and some mentioned the same, they traded in their Mercedes for the CX5

This car has made my life better.

I finally upgraded to a new car and picked a 2019 CX-5 Signature trim. My old car was a 2008 Mazda3 hatchback that I dearly loved and hated to give up, but now I am glad I did. My CX-5 has made my long commute so much comfier and more enjoyable. Not sure how to organize this review, so here is a list of everything I love about this car so far: 1. The stop-and-go cruise control--I don't know how I survived traffic jams for so long without this feature. It's so easy; program how far you want to stay behind the car in front of you and the car does all the braking and accelerating for you. You just sit back and take it easy (well, steer so you don't go out of the lane, but that's all you have to worry about.) 2. Ride quality and comfort--So smooth! I barely feel potholes and bumps. One gripe about my old Mazda was the road noise. My new Mazda has an extremely quiet ride. The car accelerates so easily (I did get the turbo engine that boosts horsepower to 250). It's just so fun to drive. 3. Comfort of the front seat--Huge difference in how much better my back and shoulders feel after switching to this car. I drive 2 hours a day commuting back and forth from work. This car supports my back and shoulders so well. There is adjustable lumbar support which I love. Plus, there are heaters for all the seats in the car. My old car didn't have seat heaters and now I use them all the time...the warmth relaxes my back and shoulders even more. 4. The "heads up display"--The car projects a little hologram of your speed and the speed limit onto the windshield. I love to speed, but I do it less now (which is probably good) because I am more aware of how fast I am going. 5. Blind spot assist--The car will alert you with a little beep, and a lit up icon on your side mirror, if there is someone in your blind spot when you are changing lanes. I've always been very careful about blind spots but it's nice to not have to lean forward to check my blind spots now. 6. Sound system--I love the Bose sound system. Sound clarity is light years better than I'm used to. 7. Apple CarPlay--the display screen does take a little getting to, but I like it. It is touchscreen if the car is stopped but you use a little wheel to navigate around the menu if the car is in motion. I find it easy to switch between the Itunes music display and Google Maps. 8. Beautiful interior--I got the Signature trim, which has soft brown leather seats and wood paneling inserts. Other people have complained about the lack of visual contrast in the interior, but I love how beautiful the leather is, the stitching on the dashboard, and how streamlined everything is. 9. Exterior styling--It looks elegant and refined. I like that Mazda doesn't go nuts trying to make their cars look "different" with giant grills or weird-shaped taillights or whatnot. I felt like my old Mazda looked stylish even 11 years after I bought it. I got the red crystal paint and it is gorgeous. 10. AWD--I didn't think I needed AWD since I live in San Diego, but ever since I bought the car it's been raining like crazy. The car feels very secure and safe in the rain, no skidding that I've noticed. The only thing I wasn't excited about in this car is the fuel economy isn't stellar. So far I've been getting around 24 mpg in my stop-and-go commute (part highways, part city roads, but stop-and-go the whole way). But, I had to decide between a less comfortable car that would get better fuel economy, or a supremely comfortable and fun-to-drive car that got a little less. I chose the comfort and fun-to-drive aspects over fuel economy, and don't regret it one bit. I just love this car so much. It's weird but I look forward to my terrible commute now! That's how awesome the car is.

Excellent value

I am impressed with my Mazda CX-5. It's a pleasure to drive. The turning radius is tight, it offers a fairly smooth ride, and it is very quiet. It also has many features I did not expect for the price, like a heated leather steering wheel, heated front and back seats, front seats cooled, windshield wiper de-icer, bluetooth, rearview camera, a navigation system, power rear liftgate, power moonroof, and many other extras, including leather interior for a price in the low $30,000's.

Very upscale for the price!

You will think you are driving a much more expensive vehicle. Well appointed interior, knockout exterior styling. Very quiet and smooth ride, except over the roughest of pavement. the ride is on the firm side, but that's why this SUV turns corners and handles better than anything in the class. base engine (187 hp) is fine, but for more fun, get the turbo. Although, I hate turbo lag and can't say how much the Mazda turbo has. I own the base engine.

So far, perfect--I have owned it only 3 days!*****

This car met the needs/desires we were looking for. the time was right, and the salesman was extremely pleasant to work with. The price was right with special discounts for "Black Friday".

So far, so good!

Ok, I have only owned this car for less than a week, so it is somewhat unfair to write a review so soon I think because I am in the 'honeymoon' phase. However, I will say that there are a few things that I already really like and think I will continue to enjoy. The styling on this vehicle (inside and out) is amazing. Very classy, yet sporty looking at the same time. It is very quiet inside the car. Takes curves really well. I like how the headlights turn when you are making a turn. I heard negative reviews about how slow the infotainment system is in booting up and I too am already experiencing that, but I was prepared for that and it isn't bothering me yet (and hopefully it won't bother me in the future.) But overall, I like what I see. I did a LOT of research and test drove a lot of cars before settling on this car and I think I am going to be very happy with my decision.
