2011 MINI Cooper S consumer reviews

I needed a ride for college, but I am staying in a dorm so it’s not like I need a big car. My family, friends, and the internet tell me how the Cooper S is a wonderful driver’s car, and when I found this deal, it was almost too good to be true. MINIS depreciate really quickly, and so this worked in my favor! The previous owner kept good care of it and it is the best car I could afford for the money. Absolutely wonderful. Drives tight and quickly, and is a absolute blast for me and everyone I can cram inside!

I am 6-3 and 250 lbs and the Mini is one of a few cars where I don't have to drive with the seat all the way to the rear. The Car is very quick and has fantastic handling , but the ride is a little rough unless you are on a smooth road. I get 35 mph on a trip at 65 - 70. This is my second Mini, I had a 2006 S convertible. The second row is really a package shelf, unless you have no legs but if that's OK with you, buy it.

Its an awesome fun car in a small package. It suffers in the comfort because of that - the suspension is pretty hard, not recommended if you live in an area with bad roads.

Owned my R57 for three years but it ate a tree 2 weeks ago. Head on accident at about 35 mph, without a scratch on me. the front end was destroyed but the cabin was untouched except for the airbag. I'm 6'1 and found plenty of comfort in this car. Route 95 driving in the DC area, zips through traffic like butter. I feel this car is super safe and fun to drive.

The clown car, as friends lovingly refer to our mini as, is bigger than you'd expect! We've often had 4 adults in it comfortably. It's a great date night cruiser or gas saver for the commuter!

fast and has good handling, a little tough for the city. Overall, not a bad car. I was upset by the fact that the engine can burn, but if you change the oil on time and do everything correctly, then there will be no problems

Every where we go we get compliments on our Mini Cooper S. We have added features to the car to our liking to make the car as one of a kind as possible. One of the best parts of owning a mini is the personalization. From boot to bonnet it?s a cool vehicle!

This car is made for cruising with the top down. The turbo engine has quick acceleration and you can feel like you are in a race car. No matter where we go, people always comment on our car with an envious look on their face as we drive off having fun. Great on gas mileage; this car is recommended for a good time.

My wife fell in love with this car from the very start. I think styling as in "It is So Cute". She still loves it. She calls it "LadyBug". I was sort of surprised she wanted a "stick" and have to say, a "stick" is the only way to go in my opinion. Lot's of fun. Yeah, wish it had heated seats but I bought an aftermarket slip over which you can take off in the summer that works just fine. Gas mileage is incredible especially long trips. Keeping under the speed limit is a problem as it really likes to take off and go from 60mph as well as at lower speeds. It has been very reliable and I do most of the maintenance (e.g. brakes & oil changes). Had some battery issues only, factory ones I think are too unreliable hence the 4 star on Reliability. The setup process via the left turn signal handle is a bit awkward but after using it a while you get used to it. I give it 4 stars on comfort because of the run-flat tires were noisy and hard and not having heated seats. Hate to let it go but have to, time for a truck. Love the multi-color light choices in the interior. Being a front wheel drive car, would be perfect for towing behind an RV.
