Avoid this truck like the plague
Well.. I've heard lots of people saying that the frontier is an overall solid truck, and that's why I got one. Over the course of the past 4 months, I've had the following issues: Catalytic Converter failure; fuel pump failure; excessive oil burning; window motor failure; TPMS sensor going out; currently trying to fix a 4wd malfunction. Somehow a faulty transfer case threw the truck into limp mode and I'm getting all sorts of weird codes that I've never seen. I could talk about these issues all day, and it's only been 4 months! What can I say.. I fell for the price tag. Indeed they are cheap trucks, and the specs look nice on paper. But, at the end of the day, there's a reason why the frontier is usually half the price of a Toyota Tacoma.

2006 Frontier runs great!
I bought my 2006 Frontier brand new and have it serviced by local Nissan dealer, it’s a little more pricy than a garage but like it done right the first time. CD player doesn’t work or windshield washer container leaks after about 50k miles and dealer said it was my problem and not part of extended warranty,,,😡 overall very satisfied with my Frontier and at 220,000 miles and still running strong. Replaced usual parts, brakes, water pump, emissions parts, catalytic converter, radiator, hoses, belts..don’t mind paying to keep it running, better than truck payments for 5years or more. Ridiculous!

An older vehicle in excellent condition.
This truck was in excellent condition. It was obvious that it was well maintained and taken care of. It met all my expectations and continues to be reliable.

Falling apart
I bought this little truck hearing that the Frontier is one of the best. It was a 2006 with less than 90,000 miles. So far all 4 tire pressure sensors have had to be replaced, the relay switch and all that goes with that had to be replaced, the timing belt went bad and now there is a crack in the radiator so that has to be replaced. This is an in town truck only so with that low mileage should not be having all these problems

Reliable truck
It has plenty of legroom front and back. Has a lot of power, fun to drive. Has radio controls on steering wheel. Has the tie down rails in bed. It's just a great all around truck.

Nissan Truck
I own a 2006 frontier and love my truck unfortunately I need to get rid of it because it is using entirely to much oil. I do not see a leak. A professional mechanic said he could adjust the valve covers but does not guarantee that it will not continue to use a lot of oil. Everything else is in top shape. Transmission, AC conditioner, tires, body, interior etc. I have owned 2 nissan hardbody pickups in the past. My trucks were not for sale. Different people approached me on both trucks at different times and offered me the right amounts. A friend I know is also having the same problem with her 2006 frontier.

Super Reliable Car
I have had this car since around 150k miles and now I am at 308k and the total cost of my repairs comes to around 3000$ ( Timing belt at 290k, Alternator, Starter, etc.. ) Really great truck for the price.

Dream truck
I bought my 2006 frontier February 2006 and was excited to own a truck. It was great on gas mileage, comfortable, and reliable for 12 years. I never had a problem until I hit my 12th year owning it so it was worth the money. Had to get rid of it because it was getting very expensive to maintain. Overall I had it for 13 years and wish I could afford another one, but unfortunately cannot. It was a sad day when I had to let it go but I will get another one someday. It’s a great mid size truck and it’s dependable for many years. My kids loved it and I would recommend it to anyone for a family truck! We already miss our truck!
