I bought a Saturn when I was younger and put it through xxxx. Didn't put oil in it. An didnt take care of it raining in to trees all kinds of stuff and it still ran Now I have an SL2 97 which I do take care of. It has 240,000 miles on it. And still runs new I got to put a little water put a little oil in it. And it's good. And I bought it from a guy for 600 bucks.

The only car I will ever need

I have owned this car for a year now and have not had one problem with the vehicle. Manual windows, am/fm radio, and no wireless unlock. This car is old, but reliable, and doesn't look half bad.

Good little car

Saturn is great on gas. For being as light as it is it handles good in the snow. Blasts out heat. Repairs are cheap and overall its a good commuter. If u drive a lot i reccomend it.

A good, reliable car for someone on a budget.

I previously owned a Saturn 1997 SL1 and was very pleased with it. The cabin is bare bones, exterior road noise is obvious, but it handled wonderfully, excellent stopping distance, and was amazingly good on fuel. The parts are affordable and is reasonably inexpensive to maintain. The side protection is excellent too. My only issue was a sticky ignition and turn signal stick (a common fault, but easy to get used to) and beware of it's tire size and rear drum brakes, which aren't common anymore. All-in-all, an excellent car for someone on a budget or a student. It's not the fanciest car, but it's safe and reliable, even in 2017.

Very reliable. Still running 20 years later.

This car is pretty amazing. Twenty years later and an accident that had it totalled and this car is still trucking.

Best Car I've Ever Owned

This car is so great! Everything from the self adjusting steel timing chain, to the polymer side panels are features we can all appreciate. I prefer the 5 speed over the automatic due to better performance, better gas mileage and it's more fun to drive. I'm still wowed by how economical these cars are, especially for the how long ago they were produced. You NeVeR, eVeR have to be concerned about reliability, we have never had a break down and we have taken it on so many road trips. It's a real shame that they don't make these anymore, they'd have my loyalty for life.

great starter car

I bought this car for my daughter as her first car. it is super small on the inside, you can't be a big person or fit 5 large people, but it fits her perfectly! Great gas mileage and cheap to get tires and oil changes. we have had it 3 years, bought it from the original owner. we have had no problems at all with the car. wish it had more cup holders, but that was the way it was back in 1997.

Wish They still made the saturn cars

Great car, cold ac. Love it. Bought the Car for commuting. Very dependable. Had to replace a 1999 Ford Contour that would not start, or would die on the road. The saturn Sl is great. We used to own a 1993 Saturn Sl and it had over 289,000 miles on it and was still working when we sold it. Hope to have the same reliability.
