Sounds great, wicked handling, looks like the sexy Lexus LFA, and just draws all the attention everywhere you go! People actually get excited when they see it! Rear-wheel drive puts the fun back into driving, at an affordable price, thanks Toyota! You can feel how light-n-nibble and power to weight ratio is equivalent to performance of other V6 & V8 sports cars. Going 0-60 in 6.8 sec. ain't too shabby. Get it on the winding back roads and brother the racing seats hug you thru all the thrills and chills. Didn't get it sideways yet, but you can feel it would do it on command. Takes premium gas but gets 25/34/28 mpg so not a problemo. Tight and firm suspension, but handles smooth on the Interstate. Back seats are snug and can accomodate small children easily, even young teenagers. Traded my beloved Corolla for this package of fun and there are no regrets, especially since it was not a big jump in price. Test drove a Raven with a stick and ended up buying the Whiteout with auotmatic paddle shifter so wife and kids can drive. After 1 week of ownership had windows legally tinted and probably will continue to look for upgrades and accesories. You know Scion and TRD will have many to personalize your FR-S. Its the perfect fun daily driver and the "I can't wait" weekend-warrior/ auto-cross racer all-in-one.

This is not the car for everyone. It is however, THE car for someone who loves the driving experience, more specifically curvy mountain roads and winding tracks. Toyota-Subaru absolutely nailed the handling and weight distribution on this car. The driver position, the controls (esp. the shifter in the manual trans) the central tachometer are all perfectly and intuitively placed. The interior is not luxurious by any means, but neither is it econo-box cheap. Soft touch materials abound, and even the stock sound system is very good. I have driven the 370Z, Miata, and Genesis Coupe, and none of those come close to matching the driving experience on this machine. I'm certain a Porsche Boxster or Cayman would surpass it, but that is simply not affordable to many people. Thank you Toyota and Subaru for making this vehicle.

Very solid no flex car. Point and shoot handling and so much fun on tight twisty roads. I am getting 30 plus mpg and it is not quite broken in yet. Six speed makes sure you always have the right gear at hand. The car is very comfortable to drive long distances and has the best stereo I have ever seen stock. Very limited and I mean very very limited foot room in back seat. Also you would not want to be very tall either. It does make for good space for additional luggage or the dog. This is a wonderful fun fast car to take trips in. Love my FR-S.

I have driven the FR-S now for 600 miles, and I can't help but smile every time I start the engine and put it in Drive. The ride is stiff, but boy, it goes where you point it. Even without putting it in Sports mode, the car feels like a real sports car. Acceleration is outstanding. I have an Automatic, and I love the paddle shifters. Although I am not pleased that it uses premium gas, the fuel consumption is far better than I had expected. I am getting 28 MPG. I do have a few issues with the car. The FR-S is not a four-seater. There is no leg room even for children in the back seats, and the trunk is really small. I am unable to sync my phone's directory with the blue tooth. The manual is totally useless! I know they were trying to make the car as light as possible, but when you open the trunk or hood, it looks cheap with bare metal, and I would have preferred to have the option of leather seat covers. Overall, the FR-S is a driver's car, and I am very happy with it so far.

Driven this car for 1200 miles or so. One of the first things I did was replace the tires, since the stock tires that the car came with are the same, economy, cost cutting, all-season tires that they put on corollas, camrys and civics. I live in MA, so Scion put all-seasons this time of year to prepare for the winter. The car rides smooth and yet at the same time you feel the road. The car doesn't get fatiguing but you feel engaged a the same time. It's a great balance. If you have no music on, you can hear the clutch engaging and the gearbox shifting. And they sound great. You won't experience these raw sensations in any other car. The car has such little body roll. You can hug turns at high speeds so easily. Even though it's "underpowered," there is more than enough power to swing the tail, especially if you turn off the traction control. This car is at its most fun when you take the back roads. But it's still quite a comfortable cruiser on the highway. 6th gear has plenty of passing power, even if you're going up a hill. I've been getting 32 mpg, which I calculated through the old school way of dividing miles driven on a tank by gallons filled. The computer said 34, so there is a tendency for the computer to overestimate. Because I'm a short guy, 5'5, I bring the seat pretty far forward. Surprisingly, there becomes enough space in the back to carry passengers, and it's as comfortable as other 4 door cars with cramped back seats. I do really like the interior. Feels like a race car, which is the feeling I was looking for. It looks great, fairly lightweight, usable back seats if you're short or comfortable with pulling the seat forward a bit, decent gas mileage, and a raw feeling that you won't get in any other car. I was thinking of getting some of the more luxury sports cars down the road, but they just don't have the same raw feeling as this car.

Having registered and driven 70 plus sports oriented vehicles in my life from muscle to the meek, I will say I have been waiting for a street appropriate vehicle of this driving level to return for many years. They got it 99% right. If you love the track, and want to stay safe on the street, buy it. it's bullet proof, and almost infallible. If you buy cars to drive your friends around, and say look at me and how cool I am, this is not for you. :)

This car is a blast to drive it makes you smile everytime. The handling and steering are fantastic and the suspension absorbs everything I can dish it and is not too harsh but it makes you feel everything in a very good way. The boxer engine has suprisingly strong torque off idle and luggs very well but will rev quickly when proded. amazingly it pulls highway speed up almost any grade in sixth gear and needs no downshift. It will also break the speed limit quickly with only one shift- redline in second (manual) is 58mph! So far I have had it to 103mph redlined in fourth. There is a deffinite flat spot in the midrange and the traction control is intrusive and heavy handed but it probably is keeping me out of trouble! Bottom line is a rediculously fun car to drive that turns heads and gets it! It has some quirks and I expect teething problems but his car will be legend in 20 years and as a pro mechanic I can deal with it and have sick fun doing it. It is so good I dont have imediate plans of mods but it will be in the future for sure. Don't hesitate if you are a gear head with tools and skills!

This car is fun to drive, but if you're looking for luxury you might wanna look elsewhere. The FR-S has a super sporty exterior and great handling but the interior is much to be desired. A lot is made from cheap plastic and no design. The flip down mirrors do not even have lights and are very cheaply made. The rear view does not auto-dim, and the seats are like a suede/micro-fiber that everything clings to and constantly needs vacuumed. The floor mats are very nice and also snap to the floor so they don't slide around. The gauge cluster is sporty with digital display. I'm not sure if power seats are even an option? There were not models available with then when I purchased mine. Trunk space is minimal but that is to be expected with a sports car. The radio is simple and sleek looking but I plan to upgrade the speakers. Sometimes it's hard to tell if they are blown or just sound bad! I think those are my only peeves though that I had higher hopes for. Everything else is great! I love the design, the traction control setting, sport mode, paddle shifters, handling. It's a whole lot of fun on windy back roads! For the price, everything is right; however, I wouldn't have minded paying a little more for an upgraded interior. Im glad I have another car to drive daily and this frs is my play toy!
