Great Car

I've only driven my new Forester 222 miles, but I can still say a few things. It has excellent visibility, front and back, which is key to accident prevention. The engine has plenty of pep (I have the base model with a manual transmission). It handles very well and is fun to drive. Passengers have plenty of room in the front and the back, and there is spacious cargo capacity. Miles per gallon is good and same as advertised, and everyone comments on the handsome styling. I wish I'd bought it a couple of years ago.

disappointed

bought a new 2011, same as 2012. had it 3 months now and extremely disappointed in the suv. first the good. very agile, smooth transmission at times, good turning radius, good visability...the bad, horrible, horrible seats. seats are short and the backrest hunches you over, they are anatomically incorrect in every way, at the shoulders they push you forward even further sitting in a hunched head hanging down position. driving dynamics from seat to wheel to gauges is bad as well. wheel is too far away once you fit your legs in. this car fits short women or small japanese, essentially who it was made for. im 5'11 and 168 lbs and feel like a bear in a clown car. you have to lay the seat back for comfort then cant even reach the wheel.. back pain and discomfort after 20 mins of driving. DO NOT BUY THIS SUV, im trading mine in, if i was keeping it i would buy and install a custom seat, however, f it, im getting a hyundai....also, the radio is horrible, my 1997 honda accord has a better radio, in fact still have the car and compared them, what a cheap disappointment the suby is, also, the carpeting is sooo cheap you cannot even vacuum debri off of it...
