Outstanding car with bells and whistles
Not only does it handle well but a comfortable ride. So many safety features included in the package puts other car companies to shame. Other companies have these features offered as extras or higher upgrades. Not here on this car.

Professional reviews are by folks not from reality
This CUV is amazing! We just got the 2019 Subaru Forester Touring for our FAMILY and it fits the bill in every way. Despite the reviews that pan it?s performance, this is the vehicle for a family with young ones and a large dog. Some of the features we love:1. The back doors that open a full 90 degrees. You can get your kid in and out, almost as well as the sliding doors of the replaced van. 2. Visibility - it rides high and has plenty of large windows to see everything. 3. Safety features - Eyesight and DriverFocus are awesome tools to help you stay safe and alert. 4. Space - compared to the RAV4, Rogue, CX-3, all of which have similar footprint, this vehicle has way more useable space and visibility. Standard AWD and decent gas. The professionals want to pan this vehicle because it does not have sports car performance, can?t tow a yacht, and doesn?t look dramatically different than the previous model. Ok, whatever dude, if a family wants a sports car, tow their yacht, and looking for something that doesn?t look like a Subaru then they can afford a second vehicle that serves those other purposes, but for this family, this is the right vehicle and I believe Subaru had us in mind and not the professional car writers and bloggers. Thank you Subaru.

My second Forrester and I still love it
I've only had the car for a month, but so far it has met, and even exceeded, my expectations. I enjoy driving it, and I am particularly happy about the safety features.

LOTS to learn due to all the technology.
SO MANY NEW FEATURES. Some of them are apparently due to the move toward self-driving cars. Not all new features are intuitive. And not all of them are USEFUL to the average driver. You can probably save a few hundred bucks if you look for a lower trim level.

A promising first month with on concern
We have owned our Forester for one month and it's been excellent to drive. Performance, smooth transmission, comfort, and visibility have been very good. This is a great vehicle to drive, nimble and handles adverse conditions very well. On the other hand, as with most vehicles today, the complexity of the electronic systems is a bit staggering but the follow-up visit to go over these systems and any questions is very helpful. The one issue we've had so far is the lack of space around the driver (due mostly to the space required by the electronics systems). The cupholders are in an awkward location and can't be used for a large drink without opening the console lid. There is no space for a trash bag/can near the driver. The armrests, especially with the console lid open, are not in helpful locations leading to tired arms on long drives. In sum, this seems like it will be a great driving, comfortable, reliable vehicle for the long-run and the electronic safety system are intuitive and work unobtrusively. If the ergonomics around the driver were improved, I'd rate this vehicle excellent rather than good.

Disappointing
This vehicle had horrible wind noise. I was told it is from the roof rack and that the crossbars could be removed. What is the point of having a roof rack? Also, the start/stop was very annoying. The only way to disable it is to press a button EVERY time you start the vehicle.
