Overall a good car but third row has issues

Pros: Reliable. Handles well, even in snow. Good sound system. Cons: Does not have Android Auto and Apply CarPlay. The Toyota proprietary e-tune system is a poor substitute. My biggest complaint is the third row. It's too small for full size adults to sit comfortably. But it doesn't fit car seats and boosters well at all. For car seat, only the center seat is LATCH+tether, so one car seat takes up the whole row sitting smack in the middle. They could have at least put the LATCH on the two outboard seats. For boosters, the headrest sticks out too much, which makes them not sit flat against the seat. As far as I am aware boosters don't have the internal structure to be used without a headrest. The third row is one of the main differences between this and the otherwise mostly similar Rav4, so it sucks that it's not as useful as it could have been. This one issue makes me wish I had bought a different vehicle.

Great car

This car is more practical for my family with plenty of room, great gas mileage, smooth on the road and good pick up and go.

Perfect, Powerful, Sure to be Reliable, Toyota

Beautiful, not as tall as other SUVs, with a luxurious interior and comfortable captain's chair seating. Plenty of room for family and cargo - whether furniture or medical equipment, it all fits without requiring disassembly. The V6 has plenty of power for negotiating traffic and the Toyota Safety Sense is a great peace-of-mind addition. I look forward to enjoying this Toyota for at least the 107,000 I got from my last one, or the 160,000 I got from the one before that.

Awesome except ... what a lousy Nav System!

Handling, comfort, power, ... wow. On Board Navigation - What the heck??? At first I thought was me not using it right but the On Board Nav is worse than you can possibly imagine. We took a trip from VA to FL and had 3 IPhones with us running maps. The Toyota Nav kept telling us about traffic problems that didn't exist, providing odd routes, and getting the ETA wrong by a full hour. The 3 IPhones were right on the money and ended up giving up on the erroneous Toyota Navigation. What makes matters worse the Nav System mutes the connected iPhone so you can't hear the voice commands so you need a disconnected IPhone for your navigation. Now I am searching for solutions ...
