The Volvo XC60 is a five-seat luxury SUV that’s offered with a choice of gas engines or a plug-in hybrid drivetrain. A 250-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is standard, while a turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder that makes 316 hp is available. Both engines work with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The plug-in hybrid can travel up to 18 miles on electric power alone, according to the EPA, and makes 400 or 415 total hp, depending on trim level. Competitors include the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class.

Leather upholstery and rear park assist are now standard. The new Polestar Engineered plug-in hybrid variant is rated at 415 total hp and includes adjustable shock absorbers, 21-inch wheels, Akebono brakes with gold calipers, black-chrome exhaust pipes, gold seat belts and a Bowers & Wilkins premium stereo.
